Game Impressions Aralon does pick up steam once you begin accepting quests; I really enjoyed how the drama and music kick in once you leave the Village Gate. So far I've done about 3 quests, made a potion, and earned the Bandit Slayer achievement. I tried to do some fishing, but I wasn't able to catch anything after about 5 attempts. I'll try again later. I'm a little confused as to the motivations and purpose of the main character. I likely missed that part while I was being appalled by the audio and camera angles during the introductory sequence. Lol. I may start a separate game later just so I can re-read the story bits I missed. But my curiosity has been peeked, and I look forward to spending more time in the game to see how deep it is. After the usual tedious day at work, I did enjoy walking about, killing random bandits, and checking out the various sights.
crassshhh ok for the next update that comes out in 2 weeks or w/e..can u guys fix the crashing when starting the game? cuz i cant go in the game anymore and tried over 70 times ....so pls fix this btw im using 3g 8gb or 2g upgraded version
I'd agree with you except your listing necessities. Meat can't be raw, you cant drive a car with no doors, but people can play a less than perfect video game. Every game has it's share of bugs, Aralon being no exception, in fact it probably has more bugs than the average game on the app store, but nearly everyone able to play it has a blast, and keeps coming back to it. There was a demand for the game to be released before the holiday freeze, and the devs were satisfied enough with it to meet the demand. It's okay to release a video game thats in aralons state because it will continue to be optimized and tweaked to work as well as it can. And anyone actively following iOS gaming could tell you how many completely worthless apps there are, be it bugs, lack of devotion by the dev, or whatever the case. And so everyone knows, I'm in no way affiliated with CMGames or Galoobeth Games. If I'm wrong on any of my points regarding them, I hope they correct me on it. I bought the game first day, really enjoyed it and let the devs know of the bugs I found here, and they asked me to beta test for them. I saw all the goings on of the beta testing since the beginning, and it's obvious this game is a labor of love from both developers.
for now, see if that airport mode/no music helps, until we can pull another update through the apple pipe.
Still alot of glitches Josh, hope you guys can wrap this up and have good sales before The Shadow Sun comes out, which looks like a worthy competitor.
i tried the airplane mode and no music but its still the same...it just crashes 100% when i try to go onto my file it loads and then the music begins and then it just crashes xD
Just finished the game (I think) with lvl 40 something ranger after finishing shadowspire and talking to darious is there anything else to do? Or is that the "end"?
yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh...gotta buy card now..spent money on aralon ..but its totally worth it..cant wait to play when most crashes are fixed..or maybe no more crashes
Just encountered a pretty annoying problem with the mage class. I just got to lvl 8 and added my skill point to firestorm 1 so it now has 3 points. Well, it now costs more energy than I have. It would be nice if the skill tree prevented me from doing that, or at the very least told me how adding a point to a skill will affect the skill. Now I've lost my most powerful spell, so I'm going to be much more vulnerable till I can level up again (and even then I'm not sure if I'll get enough energy from adding a point to Int to be able to cast the spell - I need another 44 energy to cast it - so I might have to wait for 2 levels). I've also noticed that my henchmen and pets disappear a LOT. I was in Kyle Stronghand's lair and fell into the water - my henchman disappeared (though he reappeared once I exited the lair). My fire elemental followed me in after 10 secs or so, but then he disappeared too once I got out of the water. It seems like my elemental also disappears any time I change scenes (involving loading). One more thing - this is more just personal preference - I don't really like the fact that creatures respawn so quickly. I actually would prefer they not respawn at all, but I can understand if that would upset game balance. I'd at least prefer it if they didn't respawn until after you'd left the area (went through an exit/entrance to load a new area). It can sometimes get tedious refighting enemies over and over as you explore an area.
The game got a lot more fun after I got the horse. I can't seem to complete the escort quest, but I may not be going far enough into the town... A few things that I've noticed so far! - I am not cool with the targeting issue. I had to redo the the defense quest like, five times, because i kept accidentally targeting the guard when I would cast my spell. - I don't like the inventory screen being iPod size. Ugh, I paid for an iPad app, so I would at least like the basic interface to reflect that. - Agro range on mobs seems...huge, no matter what your level. And respawn is a bit high, but not annoyingly such. - I agree with what others have said about this...I haven't cleared the game obviously, but I gather that after you kill the final boss, you're done. Some epic extra dungeons and bosses and epic loot would seriously improve the end-game aspect ala star ocean games. But keep up the great work. I respect the fact that the devs are at least getting involved. And really, keeping a game this impressive updated and supported will only build one huge loyal fan base. Kudos!
Anyone knows where is the exact location of smuggler's cove for the "Kill Vanael the Slicer" quest? I comb the entire northern region and couldn't find it. Thanks!
Got similar problem when I tried to load a game saved in Dark Gnome Burrows, near the end of the cave. Eventually I had to abandon the save and load the auto save. If yours is a manual save, maybe you can try to load the auto save instead. The game seems to autosave whenever you enter a new area.
