lol, wow. The first icon even has the same number of wave ripples behind the figure and the second one...wow. Shameless.
I just made some new ones - hope this satisfies you guys. I've never played Guild Wars so I wouldn't have ever known that they were even similar. I emailed the artist to say 'WtF?????' If you find any other icons that look similar (like really similar) to another game, then let us know please.
I've connected directly with Josh on this. Those icons are getting replaced. They were the work of an outside consultant and neither Josh, Jason, nor any of the beta testers are Guild War players, so nobody recognized them. I think we can move on.
Yes but it is good that someone picked it up so that Josh and co don't get in trouble, and Mr Freelance Artist may be less likely to pass other people's work as his own.. Looking forward to the game still!!!!! (UK time here...)
Is there a way to cancel a downloading app on the iTouch? I started downloading Aralon on the touch, then paused it. I ended up downloading the game via iTunes. The problem is when i try syncing the game it doesn't replace the paused download Anyone know a solution to this? EDIT: I figured it out
Great that you guys fixed the icons, but i can guarantee nobody would of cared outside of 2 or 3 overly anal graphic snobs in this thread. At least we can get back to discussing the game, so thank you
Well I searched for it on my device. I typed in "aralon" and "Aralon: Sword and Shadow HD" came up in the suggestion bar. I clicked it and it said "No Matches" But maybe that means it's getting closer!
Me too! So there are some italians here waiting for Aralon! I was scared I was the only italian one mad at this game looool!!! ^^
I know it works in games. But as someone who has a writing background I can tell you: the better the story, the more the main character is predefined. Characters in fiction are defined by their actions. If the player is making all the decisions, there's really no character, regardless of how much background there is behind him. In Dragon Age, for example, your companions are far more memorable than you are. I love Western RPGs, but clearly the flexibility tends to weaken the narrative. There are exceptions (Deux Ex, for example), but they're rare.
