Ach, should have read previous pages before posting this! Sorry, I see it's already being fixed... Thanks! Also, I'd love to be able to look up in third person if that's possible, as the sky is beautiful! Having great fun with my human Mage...
I've had the same quest issue playing on my iPad. I tried to work around it by doing the other available quests but at this point I've stopped playing because of how flaky this game is. Broken save games, crashes on zone changes, crappy UI on iPad, etc. It's a shame really because I think this game has a lot of promise. It's just like they decided to release a month early to rake in some holiday sales...
But they're fixing it for free, and much faster than most devs do. Lots of people can play the game fine. The latest update will address some of the bugs, and an enhanced iPad gui is in the works. There are some bugs we would never find in beta testing, just because they only show up on certain devices or certain versions.
Luckily, due to following this thread, I knew about the 'maze' bug - so I still have that quest to do. But I have now spent 12 hours with the game and explored (as far as I can see) pretty much everywhere (Orc Fortresses, Spider Lairs, Temples, Witches Covens, Sewers, pubs, lakes, beaches - the list is endless)- and at no point have I encountered a 'game-breaking' bug. There has been the odd crash, the odd 'fall thru the floor' and the enchantments don't seem to work quite right, but each time I have easily gone back to a previous save point. I just make sure I save regularly rather than relying on the autosaves. The lighting effects are beautifully subtle - like the sunlight lighting up the buildings and trees. The thrill of taking out 4 orcs with one Firestorm spells is excellent. The mounts are ace fun - my fave is the Drake of course.... It reminds me so much of the Elder Scrolls games - in a very good way. And as people have commented, it's not like they didn't have their fair share of bugs - it will always be the case with large open-world games. Can I also say that the world itself is far larger than I thought it would be - an incredible accomplishment. This is now my joint fave game on the app-store, level pegging with Galaxy on Fire 2. If you haven't bought it yet - go do it now.
thanks guys. we are dedicated to getting fixes out in a timely fashion. we are already working on a build after the build that was submitted last week. more things to fix and add. we have some cool ideas for updates in January - probably going to do a Paladin class, more pets, more abilities, iPad gui fixes.
Thanks CM and Galoobeth, hope bug fixes gets released before Christmas! You guys seriously need to take a break and enjoy the holidays.
The quest for Uthu's Fortress is part of a quest chain given by Captain Fargus in Cold Sands Keep. Level 30+ recommended.
You become neutral and get attacked by people so eventually, you turn to an outlaw if you attack back. lol
Hmm.. I haven't tried killing the dog but i'm sure you can't. His appearance is different from the wolves so you would know if you did kill him. You might also not have accepted the quest from the kid. Try to check if there's a quest "find Feskers" in quest tab.
I tried abandoning the quest and taking it up again and hi is still not there. I really hope to see the doggy cos every1 has been saying he looks so cute. Might i have encountered a bug?
This game isn't doing that well... It's not even in the top 50 top paid apps, and it's dropping in the highest grossing, at 22 right now... but I figured out why. EA single-handedly is ruining the app store, and because of them, people won't buy this game, because EA had a massive 99 cent sale, and got rid of lots of people who woupd be buying these apps. I mean in the top 50 paid, at least 25 of them are EA games on sale. And this game would've proved what games in the app store could be like, and it would've changed it. But EA just reinforced that people should buy cheap apps from the app store, and it's not capable of great games. Thanks a lot EA. You really suck.
Wow. As you play, be sure to keep an up-to-date second save slot going. I saved my game in the crypt under Callaheim, and when trying to reload the music would start playing, but the screen stayed black. Obviously I tried rebooting the phone and such. My autosave slot was close enough to avert a crisis, but that made me pretty nervous. So yeah -- two save slots at all times.
Probably a bug but I wouldn't know as we have different devices. Tried starting a new game? +1 Last Friday Aralon was top 8 on my country's top grossing list then the 0.99 virus came in and flooded all the charts with EA games; every top ten chart was EA's games. lol The sad thing is, I'm not even exaggerating.
Sorry, but it´s perfectly fine for EA to do so., it´s an even playfield you know. Avalon is the better game anyhow, it shouldnt worry the devs.
