Hi all - been playing for a couple of hours now. First, I must congratulate the team on pulling off 'Oblivion-lite' - I got a real thrill the first time I discovered a Gnoll grotto just waiting to be plundered. The city of Callaheim is gorgeous as well - some great art direction here. Fighting is fun - I chose to play as a mage and it is great watching my fire elemental attack bandits while I stand and launch fireballs at them. Had trouble with the horse - kept riding into things and being immediately 'thrown off': most frustrating. One thing I think needs mentioning is the first-person view: it is very LOW!!! I can barely see over the top of the bar in the inn, and seem to be addressing people's chests for the most part. Perhaps in a future update you could raise the eyeline a bit? Anyway - loving it so far!
At the end of the cave, I believe it's from the chest, you get some ring, which you can guess was the husband's ring, meaning he was killed. Actually the quest updated automatically after this for me.
Are you talking about the first cave right next to the starting village? I feel like I've cleared it out 10 times :x
I like this game. The only thing that stuck out as odd to me immediately was my guy seems to be moving around the screen like he just drank a pot of coffee (movement was way faster than I imagined). its almost like he has a coin purse full of 5-hour energy bottles. Human warrior iTouch 4G lump
Complaints : spending moneh to reset my allignment to neutral Does not stop npc from attacking me wtf also The price is way to steep. What money i make from being a villain is all hone paying that reset price! Also magician. Geez if he's out of range tell me in the beginning and dont do the spell cast animation. its super annoying trying to avoid damage by ranging, and trying to caste spells only to be yold tarhet is too far
Just wanted to chime in real quickly to tell you i enjoy playing this game. No, it´s not Morrowind or Oblivion, but i didn´t expect it to be. Although not original in any aspect (we´ve seen similar gameplay/quests/gfx on bigger RPG Titles), it´s a very well done game, especially if you consider this is running on a phone. The "stolen" icon stuff is putting me off a little, you should sort this out. Constructive impressions and suggestions after i´ve played the game some more.
Why is it HD, will there be a normal version too? I thought they said it was compatible with 2nd gen devices >.>
I didn't have time to look through the thread, don't have to be an asshole to me about it >.> Why would it say it's only compatible with newer devices but then people say it works for 2g. Not my fault, change the description of the app.
awesome game so far, but i do have a few update ideas. for example, after you defeat a mob and you're searching them for stuff, if you select "take all" then the bag should close automatically instead of having to press twice. but this game is really great... the scope is so immense!
When I see HD in the title of a game I always think it's dedicated to iphone 4 or ipad, yesterday when searching for this game I actually thought the only version released was for the newer devices for about 10 minutes until I read some posts here and checked the comparability list on the app page. It can be rather confusing.
Sorry if this has been asked before, but do the enemies level up as your character does (like Oblivion) or do they have fixed stats? I guess a similar question applies to the items, do they change depending on what level you currently are, or is it possible to go after the "super mega sword of doom" early on if you know what you are doing?
not trying to be an asshole - not by any means! on the App description it says made for 3rd gen and up - and it is. The fact that it will even work on 2G's is a complete bonus. Until we do full testing and support for 2G I don't want to say in the description that we support it.
To be a little more clear, the developers didn't put 2G in the description because it wasn't fully tested (as I understand it). The fact that it did work on 2G was a bonus, but they didn't want to advertise that fact in case there were issues. And apparently there have been some having some crashing issues with the 2G so the dev made the right decision not to include it in the description. That said they're going to work to optimize it for us 2G users which is great to hear. EDIT: JoshCM beat me to it. Thanks!
Enemies don't level up with you (thank goodness) but you get much less experience if you overpower them. You can conceivably pick up a high level sword at a lower level, but those are usually guarded by mobs that will eat you for breakfast.
