Played this for 5 hours today, mostly during my trip back home from college. Can't believe it took me a year to really find some time to spend with it. Owning pretty hard with a level 15 mage currently. Having a pretty good time.
You probably want to know the best ways to farm, and the best locations. That information is in this thread. It was added fairly recently, so start at the back and page backwards. And check out the other thread "(un)official Aralon Help thread" http://toucharcade.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76552
Just dropped another 4 hours into the game instead of sleeping. Level 39 now and completed every quest up to the Outlands/Ice Fang. Killed Uthu without using a single potion with my mage. Definitely should have chosen the hardest difficulty instead of normal since the game's been a breeze since the first hour, which was no doubt the hardest. I think I have about 2 hours left before finishing it. Can't believe I'll be finishing Aralon in just 6 days while I'm also playing Skyrim, MW3, etc. on my new 360 and juggling around 60$ worth of iOS games from just the past two and a half weeks. Break=no sleep/video games/going out. Life is good. I know I'm a sinner for waiting a year before I spent any time with this game. Bought this day one. Hopefully, my extreme hours in the past few days make up for that xP. I'd say I've dropped about 20 hours into the game so far. Needless to say, it's one of the best RPGs on the AppStore, and definitely the best action RPG. I guess one good thing about having waited so long before playing it is that there aren't anymore bugs. Haven't had any crashes or faced any bugs yet 20 hours in. /walloftext It's 6:24 AM.
I was the same. Bought this but hardly played it. Gave it another go and was instantly hooked. Then played this till I completed it. Loved it I emailed the devs and they mentioned a sequel end of 2012. Hope it happens
So like, I played this through back when it originally came out. It's at 3.1 now? Have they added a ton of new content other than that 4th class?
Iirc I haven't noticed a lot of content updates; 4th class, iCloud saves, some new armor... I think the last update hinted about a new swamp area addition that has yet to materialize.
how do you forge!?!?!? i have beat this game 6 times, and i STILL have not figured out how to forge D:< GAHH does anybody know how?!?!?!?!?
From Crescent Moon Games Twitter: Also: And on a unrelated note: (In regards to an inquiry about the progress of Paper Monsters)
New version is up, along with a 99 cents sale for the holidays. Needless to say, if anyone is checking out this thread to see if they should buy, now is the time. I think if anything, you might feel like you've cheated the game devs by only paying 99 cents for this game!!! (Also Rimelands is on sale for 99 cents. It's no Aralon, but an interesting dice and grid-based RPG. Worth a try.)
? So what is there to do in the new area, is there quests or a town or anything? I walked around in there for like 10 min last night but only saw mobs no quest givers or anything interesing.... maybe I didnt look hard enough?
Man, $0.99 is a RIDICULOUSLY good deal for Aralon. Seriously, if you haven't bought it yet (especially at this price), you're doing iOS gaming wrong. I've owned Aralon since day 1, and it's easily one of the best games available on the platform.
You should have bought it much earlier ! The more money these companies get from us the more chance we'll get a sequel. If everyone waited till it was 99c theres a good chance 'some' companies might not bother if they dont make that much money. I always try to buy games early on as if its a great game i'm very happy for that company to get the full amount from me. The more people who constantly wait for it to be free or 99c then theres a good chance more companies go elsewhere to make money
I believe the game has IAP for consumables. That means the Devs expect to make money off the IAP. Given my dislike for consumable IAP (I don't mind expansions delivered through IAP), 99 cents is just the right price for a game like this.
I played this for hours and hours months ago and completed it. Didnt buy any IAP's at all, just did tons of quests and had a helluva lot of money from all the quests I had completed. The games worth way more than 99c, bargain at this price
The IAPs were added later. They are COMPLETELY unnecessary to complete the game. To say that 99 cents is "just the right price for a game like this" is a bit insulting to the devs, really. It's like saying IB and IB2, because of their IAPs, aren't worth it unless they're 99 cents. I don't know, it just bums me out that some people get this feeling of being ripped off for being asked to pay more than $1 for a quality game.
I pay more than 99 cents for some of my games. Its just that whenever I see IAP, I have a feeling devs are just trying to make an extra few bucks by deliberately including something in the game design that would force a majority of their players to shell out a few bucks more just to finish the game **cough** Gem Keeper **cough** I've bought Ascension and its Expansion Pack at full price, Creeps HD with its expansion packs, and etc. I simply refuse to pay for IAP which doesn't bring me new content.
