maybe too soon but... just wondering if any info on the paladin skills or style of play can be disclosed. I stopped playing my rogue. so I could start over as the paladin and hoping to get more info (in case the rogue still sounds like my go to class) as I am itching to play again.
Is it just me, or does the torch do little to help light your area when it's dark? It lights up nearby walls and my character, but it doesn't light up the ground sometimes. I even messed with the settings a bit (changed graphics settings and whatnot) but it doesn't help. Is it supposed to be like that?
From what I've heard from Josh, it'll be focused on huge weapons and armor, with all new skills and equipment. He hasn't even given us testers much more info than that, but I'd expect it to play as differently from the other classes as they do from each other. As a side note, I think it'd he worth playing through the game as all the different classes, as they all have their own unique strategies and styles of play. My first run through was as a rogue, and half the time I could just stealth past anyone I didn't wanna fight. When I played as a warrior, the game was a lot more combat focused, as they can't stealth. Same with Mage and ranger, the story stays the same, but it's a whole different experience.
I still can't complete the sapphires quest. The guy at the bank still attacks me even though I'm not an outlaw.
He'll attack you if you killed Lord Tellaham (spelling?) in an earlier quest... no way to undo that (untill the Necromancer class).
I like this, I think it makes the caverns seem more menacing... it would be bland if the tourch was entirely adequate and the mild lighting makes the character look vengeful.
still hard at work on the iPad UI - and we got a bunch of new weapons in. working on armor sets, and then i'll be making some new area to explore... and paladin.. oh yeah. no ETA yet though, unfortunately.
Could anyone please help me? I'm stuck with the quest "The Plan". I have to find artifacts in the library, but there are only some books.
No you don't have to find artifacts in the library, you have to find a book that tells you about an artifact.
dude you read a book on the "dusty shelf" to find out about the artifact, THEN you go to get in the outlands.
Looking forward to the iPad UI update. I am holding off on playing until then. The little ui is just not cutting it for me right now. I am enjoying Rimelands even with the iPhone sized ui. Guess there is less going on there. -Greg
I have a question about the Ranger. Is the thing where you switch to melee weapons at close range, but then have to go back into your inventory to re-equip your arrows, ever going to be changed? If not, how do people keep from going nuts having to re-open your inventory all the time?
Equip your arrows, hotkey your bow and sword to your preference and switch them when needed. You should never have to re-equip arrows unless your run out(or your using a torch). Hope that solves your issue.
But what about when the character switches automatically when the enemies get into melee range? My ranger always goes for the torch then.
