It works great on iPod 2g, but the quality of the graphics are sacrificed for frame rate. Still looks awesome though. Here's a screenshot I just made:
Good to hear that it is working, but there are some parts later on in the game where I think you might have some trouble: even my iPod 3g lags in those places because there is so much on screen. Aralon is currently 55th top grossing in the Australian store...
I. need. this. now. please. please. please. please. Who cares that I have an AP Calculus BC final tomorrow..
#8 top grossing in the NZ store - above Nova 2! wonder how this will translate into the US store. We'll try to do what we can to speed up 2G stuff - but this version was really not intended for it. It was a nice bonus though! Now I'm testing out version 2.1!
I have a question... Is there a limited inventory? If so, can you boost this in the game somehow, by increasing strength or such? Thanks.
There are 36 inventory slots, and some items like potions and jewels can stack (10 potions of the same kind take up a slot etc.). The inventory is definitely big enough, and you can store surplus items in your house or the bank vault.
a lot of wrpgs have very good story. for example planescape tornment, i dont think any wrpg or jrpg can beat this game in that sense. fallout, baldurs gate etc. are great examples of rpg where the hero is not really predefined. good story does not depend so much on main character. your description of jrpgs genre is some kind of game movies with additional battles and quests. but sorry for offtopic, i am a bit biased toward new wrpgs and overall jrpg genre. what can change the nature of a man? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRidpOpQfPk
I want this so much more than NOVA 2! Counting down the minutes until the U.S. release... Anyway, so many big games recently (sort of in order of release): Rage, Dead Rising, Infinity Blade, Aralon, NOVA 2, Eternal Legacy, Real Racing 2, Shadow Gudaridan, and tons more. It's great to be an iOS gamer! I'm just hoping this is compatible with iOS 4.0 since I haven't updated to iOS 4.1 yet due to jailbreak annoyances. Sticking around at 11pm to buy this the second it hits the store!
Any chance of transferrable save files? I hate having to manage my iPod Touch/iPad save files separately.
If there isn't, can we get (preferably automatic) wifi/Bluetooth save sharing between an iPad and an iPhone, even if you can only link each device to one other, in a future update? Dozens of hours of gameplay would get split well between two unique devices.
Just go to your nearest 711-type store or a Target, Walmart, etc. They all sell iTunes gift cards that work on the App Store. By the way, credit cards, debit cards, and PayPal is supported in the iTunes store.
I tried to use paypal on itunes but it didnt work So those who have played aralon, how do u like it ?
Yes that's a good point and I also complain about this even if in general I'm not that much a fan of JRPG, there's just few JRPG exception that I enjoyed a lot. In WRPG there's The Witcher that offers a hero with a real personality and a background story. It's still an RPG with player decision/consequences and managed in an interesting way quite better than in most RPG. You have decisions but they are in the range of the hero character. For Dragon Age at my first play there was too much in camp chit chat for me, but at replay it caught more my interest. Still I don't like much DAO approach I felt it too disconnected to the main adventure. With such game with party NPC that has some story and "personality" I always end with a lot more interest in one of those than in my PC.
