Got the update, and wow - just fantastic. So many little things fixed. Glad to be able to sell stacks, have "take all" close the loot window, and not have to worry about enemies respawning right behind you!! Much more streamlined. I can definitely see the performance enhancements as well. Using an i4, the textures load quicker (it seems so, at least), and you are able to rotate the camera fully while your character is running after a double-tap, which had been problematic before. Bueno - simply killer.
Haha just noticed. To all the shunted out there complaining about the games icon, the HD has been removed from it
Same here for iPod Touch 4, the load time drops quite significantly. A lot of new nice touches I can see...but I still want to look up!
Hopefully helpful reply WEll heres the thing. Idk if this is a glitch or not but it seems that if you take the quest to kill that lord to get the mansion key he WILL attack you every time you enter the bank. HOWEVER if you talk to the guy and pick the quest to kill the other dude instead he WONT attack you whenever you enter the bank. You will also still get the key from looting the guy. Only difference is you get less EXP (killing the lord gives you twice as much as well as a good weapon)
Forgot to mention that the targeting is also improved with the update, as advertised. Especially if you rely on ranged attacks.
bloody hell! the dimmed screen bug after loading the game is still not fixed! is it really hard to fix this? i'm too lazy to play this game from the last checkpoint because i already leveled 4 up and suddenly i can't load the game!
Just read the updated Spanish translation of the description of the App Store. It's much better, even though you can tell it wasn't originally written in Spanish. One problem, though: You left a comment in there from the translator, in English, explaining how they keep some terms in English.
I'm annoyed that I can't get spirit wolf for my lvl 47 ranger as It is just too tedious to train at this stage of the game. Might make a new account to try it out.
Yeah same here, this was the first thing I tried when I updated, still doesn't load my save games. And yes, I tried saving in two slots 'just in case', but then both got corrupted. Not sure I will be playing until saving is stable.
I was only about 20 minutes into the game before the update but loading my save last night I spawned in a random area of the world about 400 foot above the ground, fell for quite a few secodns and then started to fight some thugs/theves, interesting. I started a fresh save anyway since I was not that far in, game runs a lot smoother on a 2g touch now, shame about the visuals taking a hit to do so however but I can't complain, game is still great.
Just had to create an account here to say "Thank You!" to the devs for this latest patch. I'd tried so hard to love Aralon since it's eagerly anticipated release day, since it's exactly the kind of game I've been dying to have on my iPhone! The problem I had? One single design decision was ruining it for me: the insane respawn timers for mobs and the fact the game refused to save the dead/alive status of them when you saved the game. I was totally stuck with my mage in Kargrath's (sp?) cave, having saved just before the boss fight... right on top of the spawn point for two level 7 elite gnolls ._. Sufficed to say that my Phone was nearly sent soaring through the air several times in a fit of incandescent rage as they killed me again. And again. And again. Then when I finally (by sheer luck) made it past them and engaged the boss, everything would go fine for about 30 seconds, I'd be kiting him around his area and... oh, whoops, strayed too close to my old gnoll friends and now they wanted a piece of the action too. The decision to have the mob respawn timer even for indoor areas was just utterly baffling, I couldn't understand why you'd work so hard on creating a believable fantasy world and ruin the immersion by having monsters just... reappear. If it was an MMO, respawning mobs would obviously be a necessity, but in a single-player RPG it just killed all sense of actually progressing through a dungeon. Anyway, the patch released today fixes this entirely and I spent a thoroughly engrossing hour of my commute this morning continuing my adventures in Aralon. Huge thanks to the dev for fixing the problem and kudos for creating one of the most ambitious games on the platform to date! - Kitt
well i dont think that respawn problem is fixed, for example in mansion after u go to the west sides and east sides than city guards in the mansion respawn immediately.
Hello - I have set this game down for awhile because I believe I messed up and may have to restart. I am trying to complete the Darius mission, "the plan", and long before this I ventured into town exploring and collected all the books from the library, unknowing. Eventually I saved a few, but I can kind of remember discarding the magic book after looking it over. Now I know I am supposed to have it in my possession when returning to Darius to continue on, and it does not reappear on the shelves when I go back. Man, I spent some time on this already and found some cool items along the way, is there any way to complete this quest without having to start over? Thanks alot.
Is there a world map for this game anywhere? I find the map in game very confusing and I cant for the life me navigate the area near Craythorn lake. Sorry if this has already been asked but this is a 250 page thread!
If it's anything like the Mage's pet summon, it levels up at you put points into the higher tier summon. The higher level you are, the more points you spend on the Spirit Wolf, the higher level and more powerful it will be. Of course this is speculation of course. When you summon the pet with the Mage the pet's level changes almost each time. Sometimes higher than before, sometimes lower than before. That seems to be a tad random.
Where's the Cold Sands Keep? I'm looking for Captain Fargus for the Border Wars quest, and I only know of Cold Sands Hold, not Keep. Confusing.
