...uh ... ::blinks:: .. no mention of this game-breaking, horrendous saved game bug being fixed.. good lord ... ::sobs::
Hmm, I highly doubt my friend did pirate the game, even though he is jailbroken (by me), as he barely knows his way around Cydia, little less the shady venues in where pirated IPAs are found To anyone who might claim to know : Is it possible this is a bug that can occur as a result of jailbreaking (which does initiate a few changes to the file system, in order to, for example, enable accessing the root directory from a computer), even for people who have bought the game via the App Store? UniWar had one of those quite some time back.
we think that was memory related, so it should fix that from happening in the future. we are still unable to totally nail down performance on 2G devices, but it should be much better than it was before, if you are willing to risk that. I'm not officially putting that we are supporting that yet though. We've done just about all we can to tweak memory stuff. We've added options for texture settings now too, so you can choose low, med, high, very high (original)
Howdy Hi there.. sorry to bother you, but is there any explanation or resolution for the saved game corruption issue I am repeatedly experiencing? Just curious.. thanks Jeff
as I said we think its memory related. Beta testers haven't experienced any save issues, neither have I, with this latest build.
This sounds fantastic. Thanks for the heads up on it. Glad to hear you all are hard at work with awesomeness.
Thank you! That may be the biggest (correctable) flaw I saw with the game. Nothing kills verisimilitude quite as much as an enemy respawning before your eyes. I think I'll start back with the game once that update hits.
i guess/bet this new update is going to be accepted by Apple so we can play it this week!! ok, thats what i want, im not really sure, but lets hope its this way, because it sucks it is not pllayable in 2g...
There's the safety ring as well! I've heard of several people in situations that could really use it.
Also, merchants will now re-stock their supplies. If you are having trouble loading a saved game, the new update may fix it. None of the testers have been able to duplicate the issue, but I made some changes that I think will help in addition to the reduced memory usage. If anyone having trouble loading a saved game has a jailbroken device and can access their saved game files, please PM me I would like to take a look at them.
Is there any word yet on a revamp on the map or maybe giving a minimap? I know it can be confusing when you haven't played in a while and forget where you need to go on a quest.
Thanks for the update JoshCM. Sounds like a very nice update. I may restart my Ranger over for the new skill. Really looking forward to the pally down the line. Paladins tend to be my favorite class to play as in RPG's and I can't wait to see it in action. Any plan on GC for the titles/achievements?
Josh, or any of the devs, if you're around any word on the sea monster in the bay by Timber Bend? It's be named "Nessie" by the thread. On a good note, I've not experienced any issues what so ever on my iPad 4.2...I think. Runs fine, no save issues, no crashes. Just don't take out Helgas Ring
Update looks nice, but you guys seriously need to reconsider your decision about making the Paladin class. As it stands, I highly doubt players will play through Aralon more than once (maximum twice) due to the slow pace and long traveling distances of the game. Instead of making a new job, how about refining the current ones instead? Or better yet, combine all of the jobs and let us branch out and respec so we get the full experience in one or two playthroughs. I am looking forward to playing Aralon with the new update, but I am dissapointed to see the auto-dismount-when-you-are-5-meters-away-from-object feature is still in the game.
What's the level cap? If I have just gotten the quest to go to Karn, how far am I from completing the main quest?
