There is a main quest that has a particular order, but you can choose to work on side-quests or just explore. Fair warning, though: the farther you travel from your home town, the tougher the world gets. Thankfully there is no elastic leveling in Aralon. The amount of experience you get is based on the level difference between you and your enemy, so it doesn't pay to camp in the low level areas and kill the wimps repeatedly.
22 pages already? This game is quite excellent, as awesome as I expected. The 5 save slots (or 6 if you count the auto-save) really help.
There was a post to the effect that it runs fine on a 2nd gen device in the 'Upcoming' thread. So now I'm really confused. The description says only on 3GS and above. Basically will the game crash and be 'messed up' on 2nd Gen??? Can the developer confirm or deny this? Just wanna know before I regret purchasing. Sounds like I'll take the advice in the description until otherwise confirmed. I'm afraid that whoever said it runs 'fine' on a 2G may have only played it a bit. Perhaps if you play longer, you'll run into problems (crashes, major framerate problems, etc.). The developer warns that it only runs on 3GS and above in the description so there may be a good reason for that (and, no, I'm not blaming the developer for pushing the limits).
It seems to run ok on 2G devices but we haven't tested it thoroughly - hopefully some 2G players will chime in here. Thats why we didn't put that in the description.
lol, Chronicles of the 3rd Age? I didn't realize I was playing LOTR Edit: Inventory screens are iPhone sized on my iPad
i noticed in the ************* (lol at censor? the Iphone gamer UK) video that the camera controls are inverted. please tell me he changed them himself, i can not stand inverted camera controls, FF12 really annoyed me with that.
I don't think there's an option to disable "inverted" camera controls. Or at least, I haven't found a way to yet. Edit: Oops.
nice, glad theres an option. man 6 hours feel like 6 months right now lol. also i was surprised to see ANOTHER Aralon trailer pop up today haha
There aren't pets. But the mage can summon an awesome fire elemental. and all classes can hire henchmen.
OK, for those playing on 2G devices! I have been playing for a half hour or so, and it has run very well for me so far. Ther frame rate is actually quite high in general, there is a tiny bit of lagging when you load into a new area/go through a door, and occasionally when there is a lot on screen, but for the most part everything runs fine. Even though the 2g doesn't have the capability of higher res or graphics, it still looks very impressive. I'd like to give a big hi 5 to josh and the galoobeth/crescent moon crew, for this game is very entertaining, and you can see the huge amount of effort that must have gone into it. Thank you guys!
Right, because Aralon is the second work of fantasy fiction or gaming to refer to "ages." BTW, Tolkien took that "ages" terminology from greek mythology. As to the inventory size issue, no iPad tester reported that problem.
What time are games normally available GMT time? This is the only game I've been looking forward to and I feel a bit silly sat around refreshing the app store !
