Yeah, I definetely saw it, too. Looked like a snake with fins. Sorta what I'd imagine a serpent to look like.
I have the exact same problem and already posted about this problem to this thread some weeks back. I don't know if Josh and the devs are working on fixing this problem or not. And as far as I know you can't turn back to lawful again if you want to. Btw does anyone know when the next update is coming out? Josh? Galoobeth?
In the outlands, looking for the sceptre in the temple, I passed through the first and second floor. Now I can't pass the first grid in the third floor because I don't find the switch Any help would be welcome
Your looking for obelisks not levers. The first obelisk (somewhere just off the horizontal corridor running across the top) unlocks a gate to the second obelisk( in the middle of the area to the right side of the entrance to the third floor) which unlocks the last section to the scepter of hammara. Sorry about the vauge locations, it's a confusing place
one thing i really hate about this game is that arrows are way too expensive. 40 arrows cost 240 gold! that really sucks! please add an "unlimited arrows" cheat! i would appreciate that very much!
Bows are dirt cheap though so it kind of levels out. Apparently before being updated the game would run out of arrows to buy completely...
My problem with arrows isn't the price but that they fill up the inventory so quickly. For that reason, it's more practical to bring a good melee weapon as well. Rangers often do more damage in melee anyway. The gold for arrows directly translates to gold for healing potions you don't have to buy because you take less hits, I don't think arrows are too expensive.
im proud to say that i did all the quests and beat the main storyline on my ipod touch 2nd gen except the glittering sappfire quest of course cause the guy keeps attacking me so i was wondering where do i get the terror bird mount?
I'm actually waiting on this game for when I upgrade my iPod touch 2g to a 4g. It's so hard waiting though...
The next update is working very well for testers that have 2nd gens. It'd be worth waiting, to be able to play with the highest settings though, but it should be playable for 2nd gen users soon.
Just finished with a level 42 mage and have started another save file with a level 14 rogue. Here are some improvements that could be made: - The combat system is a bit dodgy - parrying for instance seems very difficult to judge, since the enemy's damage lands about a second before their attack. - The falling-through-the-land glitch is very common and while it's fine if you have a save game, it gets annoying. It's not too bad in the starter areas (although I found it around lake Craythorn) but in the Outlands and the Western Kingdom it's quite prevalent. - Some of the textures look a bit rough or blurry, not sure much can be done about this. - There are balancing issues between the classes. I've only played as mage and rogue, but rogue is far easier to play in the first few levels than mage, and I assume this is true for warrior and ranger as well. However, when you get to the top levels (ie, 35+) the mage becomes very easy to play us, since there's very little that can challenge you once you have the top spells. - The henchman system is a bit dodgy, they often disappear when you load new save-games or enter an area. Also, sometimes you can get them killed and find you can't get them back again, meaning you need to grind quite a bit to be able to defeat the next boss. If this is too difficult to fix, it might be worth taking henchmen out of the game altogether. - There should be a description of each mount's speed and stability next to its deed. - Some quests are very easy to miss, for example I didn't find Helga's ring when I went through the game the first time (this might just be me being silly). - Some of the quests can get very annoying, for instance the Lord Telmon/Luther Argale one. The problem here was that it kept saying I would be made an out-law if I attacked Luther Argale, even though I'd successfully attacked him many times before (and died, so I'd had to re-load and try again, when this issue sprung up). - On the issue of save-games, they very easily become corrupted, so you find your henchman isn't there or you haven't started a quest. This is worst with the auto-save slot. - It's easy to over-write save slots, might be good to have a confirmation button. - The skill tree for the mage is very lacking. Firstly, the only spells worth investing in are the fire waves, and it gets boring having only one straight-damage spell. The rain-of-fire ones are also a bit too heavy on energy. Also, I found that when I got to the top levels, I had nothing to invest my points in, even though I'd unlocked half of the skill tree. This is because the ice spells weren't any use to me, so I simply had points left over. - On that point, having a reset point allocation option on the skill tree would be great. - Some disengagement abilities might be useful for some classes as well. - The targeting system is flawed, for instance I often end up attacking an ally with a spell and becoming outlaw, or I find it difficult to select a corpse to loot. Perhaps making tapping on what you want to select overriding the auto-locking system would remedy this. - Aralon randomly crashes when I go through doorways sometimes (no idea why). - Some dungeons were too dark, even on the highest brightness setting (i.e. smuggler's cove and the Temple of Azra). This just made navigation annoying instead of challenging. - The items system is rather poor. For one, the items I bought in stores were the best available to me right up until I was about level 45 and looting the high level dungeons in the Outlands. It would be far more exciting to have really good armour drops and weapon drops in more dungeons or from monsters. More speciality items would be good too, like "Staff of the great tree" and "Staff of ice," particularly if they were made better than the regular "banded studded staff" (or whatever they're called). - Chests were also disappointing. Jewel-drops were good, but got boring after a while. Maybe make speciality items that only appear in chests, like rare combat gear or runes. - It would be nice to see your actual xp level and how much needed till the next level (if you can't already). - More crafting would be excellent (I assume this is in the works looking at the forges etc lying around). For instance if you could mine minerals or pick large amounts of fruit/herb to make into good gear. This would also be a great way of making money. - Money also becomes pointless later in the game. It would be good to have some money-sinks, I'm not sure what though. - There could have been more difference between the races (i.e. more intellect for elves, more spirit for humans, more endurance for trolls, etc) - Finally, something that would be really cool is some form of multiplayer, for instance an arena system where you fight other players. I appreciate this is probably a long way in the future for the developers. I appreciate that a lot of these criticisms are probably unfair, after all this is the first iOS game of its kind. Because of what Aralon is like, I automatically compare it to games like Oblivion, which will obviously be much more polished and extensive. The good points were too many to mention, but I'll put some of them here: - The mount system was very good (although I sometimes had to summon the drake 3 or 4 times). - The abilities system was pretty good, the interface was easy to use in combat. - The number of dungeons was great. - The progression from zone to zone was smooth, especially since it came along with dungeons for grinding if required. - The main storyline was OK, but the number of side-quests was very good. In particular the guild quests were great - more of them would be nice. - The replay value is good, one thing though - is the game instanced according to which class you play? i.e., it would be good if the game made sure any high-level weapon or armour drops in chests were specific to your character class. - Levelling was enjoyable, grind was kept to a minimum. - The landscape was spectacular, in particular the snowy regions and the areas North & South of Aralon were great. - The music was good and appropriate, even if it did sporadically turn itself on and off. - I liked the sandbox feel of the game, I felt I was a real person in the game and not just someone following through a storyline. - The bit where you fight with the soldiers was fun, but again the problems with the henchman system kicked in here. For one, the soldiers would auto-target themselves at orks and would end up running off the cliff edge. There are obviously many more good points to the game that I haven't mentioned. Overall, this is the best game I've ever played on my iPod and I look forward to any updates or sequels that come. Kudos to the developers!
Hi I'm a new member of the forum just because I 've found this thread for this magnificent game very interesting! Actually I have abandon the game for few days now, because I'm stuck almost in the end, but not being able to find icefang. when you mean wintry area you mean the area with spiders or the other side of the mountain path with Giants?
There are two mountain passes in the game. One is on the western edge of the forest area north of Callaheim, which leads to the rocky area with the giants and such. The other is north of Cold Sands Hold in the Outlands, also along the western edge. This leads to the frozen area, where you'll find Icefang.
