Agreed! But not at this point, as the ceiling of the game is pretty high, and you can't see anything from up there, what with the draw distance. I created a separate save file for experimenting with helgas ring though. I've managed to get on top of almost everything, which gives you some amazing views of the landscapes they made.
Rogue and Arcer classes the rogue class is good because it allows you to use stealth( with this i have snuck into houses while the owner was there and unlocked the chests without being caught) the thigh cut is really useful at high levels and thebonus to critical and parry bonuses is EPIC using skill combinations a rogue can easily kill the hardest enemy in a matter of seconds eg. stealth-> backstab3-> vicious strike3+poison on your weapon= almost 1000 damage in a really short time period! the archer class is really good because you get two power strikes one for a bow and arrow and one for melee i normally use the flaming arrow(archer power strike thingy) to badly damage the enemy and the use the melee power strike to finish them off this requires little effort plus range attacks make the archer really good because the damage he can hit at low levels is really high
It's a ring that let's you levitate short distances. You get it from Ug I think, it's part of that quest. The two caves around the first lake. You can use it to climb up some walls and get where your not supposed to go, so be careful with it, as it can ruin your auto save file.
You get Helga's Ring right after Taryn's Ridge from the Ug versus Og quests outside Cranyon Lake. Basically two orc brothers are fighting - and you have to decide which to help. If you follow the quest dialog it's clear which one has the ring you should kill them both and keep the ring for yourself. Helga's Ring is hands down the single greatest addition to the game. I've been sneaking to advanced fields by climbing up mountains to avoid higher powered enemies unless I can mage snipe them with fireball (which is tricky with the range and sight requirements). Having my mage floating around just seems more menacing. I wonder if this is suppose to be a Lord of the Rings homage (or if I'm just a huge dork for thinking so).
you get the drake on drake island when the sunclaw dragon takes you there to get the key to unlock the azura temple (its in a ring of crystals dont worry it stands out)
Is the spider web used for a Rogue quest? I figured poison could be used by a rogue as well, just wasn't sure if it was being used or not. (Haven't played as a rogue yet) Nice. Yeah, Bruno's Blades was one of the things that gave away the idea that there were future expansions planned. Good to hear more is on the horizon. Good to hear a lot of the suggestions are being passed on, too. I'm still having a lot of fun with the game on my second run through, though I'm finding it a lot harder as a mage. Mages should be allowed to wear leather armour, not just cloth. Actually, mages can, sort of, from what I've found. I have a leather helm I bought in Calaheim, but I couldn't use any of the leather body armour. Just cloth, so it's kind of inconsistent. (In traditional RPGs, mages are permitted to wear any type of armour as long as it doesn't have any metal in it. Definitely need more armour options for mages.)
Okay, I had no idea Helga's ring did this. I don't think it's mentioned in the ring's stats when you look at it. I ended up selling it in my run through as a warrior. Now that I'm playing a mage I'm definitely going to go back and get it. This could make it a little easier to pick off harder enemies.
Warrior seems to be the easiest as you can just bash your way through everyone. Mage so far has been the hardest as you are severely limited in armour and attack and must rely mostly on spells, and it takes quite a few levels and a lot of energy to get powerful enough, so you have to level up a lot more as a mage than you would as a fighter before you can successfully attack with large hits while defending yourself well, especially against multiple enemies. I'm trying the smuggler's cove quest as a 20th level mage right now and I just can't do it. I can handle two smugglers at once with a healing potion or two downed, but I can't kill Vanyel the Slicer and a smuggler at the same time. I die pretty quickly. I had to run my ass out of the cove chased by every smuggler along the way and Vanyel so I could grind some more where it was safer.
If I remember right, the webs are for a guild quest, just collecting them. I think it was the magic guild. You can join all the guilds if you want, not just certain classes. They're working on balancing the classes better, as well as adding the paladin class in the future. There's lots of exciting stuff planned, which all take time to create, but well worth the wait I think.
Magic guild? Where the hell is the magic guild? I don't remember seeing one before. Just the Fighter's Guild, the Defenders of Aaralon guild by the docks, and the thieves guild in the sewers. Ooh! Paladin. Magic using fighter. That's what I wanna play.
in time..... in time this game will most likely turn out like W.O.W. (world of warcraft) also the idea of certain classes gaining specialisation skills is a good idea eg. a rogue could become an assassain or a thief? warrior could become a berserker or knight/paladin? archer could become a sniper? or ??? and a mage could use the elements eg. fire mage, ice mage, air mage?, earth mage?, and yeah
