The iPhone 3G is too slow to run the game and it is not planned that it be supported. Remember: The iPod Touch 2G is faster than an iPhone 3G. If someone says something runs on his iPod Touch 2G, that won't mean it will also run just as well on your iPhone 3G.
So I am level 29, mostly from doing guild quests... just started the main quest line and am wondering, where are all the recipes??? I have the one you get in the beginning and a couple of food recipes... Where are all the armor/weapon recipes for use with the forges I keep seeing? Also, itemization seems really odd in this game... everything I am equipped with I ended up buying ( save for a ring and a cape quest reward ). The vendors seem to have much nicer gear then you find in chests. If someone can explain how crafting recipes are generally acquired I would really appreciate it.
Crafting? The only recipes I've ever seen or heard of in the game are for potions. What class are you?
Go into the Aralon suggestions thread and ask them to implement that sort of recipe/crafting at the same time that they are improving potion recipes, plant gathering and fishing. I've already posted extensively about this stuff in that thread.
Really? What are all these bear and wolf pelts for, teeth, etc? Just to sell? I swore I read that you could craft items... In Callaheim, in the Fine Armor shop, there is a usable Forge that, when opened, says there is nothing you can craft at the moment. I assumed ( incorrectly I guess ) that this meant there were recipes somewhere... oh well
Interesting. I never even went over to the forge; I assumed it was simply part of the scenery and the items you found were basically just for extra cash, particularly when starting out. (Because other than bears a little later on, north of Calaheim, there aren't really any enemies that drop what I would call craft items. At least nothing I could reasonably assume would be useful in crafting anything; spiders drop webs, giant ants drop poison, and while I assume poison could be used by thieves and possibly rangers, I don't know what use spider webs are.) Mind you, there are a number of things in this game that have made me think that they were put in there for future use but not actually used in the current version, so it's possible that if it's not possible now, item crafting may indeed be possible in some future update. Which would be very interesting. I can imagine, for example, spider webs useful in crafting a magical sword with tangle capability, for example, and poison for adding a poison charge.
Clearly spider webs will be used by the upcoming class "Spidermen", who have the ability to shoot out webs to trap their enemies.
my character my guy is a level 46 rogue, ive completed the main quest and i have a wolf mount, a drake mount and the white stallion which is my current favourite the game is awesome but are pets only for mages???? i've never found a "pet trader" or whatever i also find the lack on side quests at higher levels quite boring but iu'd rate the game 9/10 its awesome!
i believe that some recipes arent yet introduced yet but some you may get from killing npcs, talking to random friendly npcs, or completing quests and im also annoyed at the lack of good items from chests
I'm going through as a mage right now, having completed as a warrior. (It's way harder as a mage.) . I don't think "pets" are what you're thinking. I can summon a fire elemental to aid me in battle, which is identified as a "pet fire elemental" when I target it, but it's not a pet as such. It's just a summoned creature that fights with me 'til it dies, after which I can summon another one if I wish. Incidentally, the drake mount is just as fast as the white stallion, but is much more stable, so it's much harder to fall off when you bump into things.
one more thing, WHERE THE HELL DO YOU GET A DRAGON MOUNT? ive even stooped so low as to kill all the dragons ingame hoping they'd drop an egg or whatever????????? ive scoured the WHOLE game ftrom top to bottom and havent found a dragon mount
The dragon mount is the drake. Drakes are young dragons. They just can't fly. (Note the stubby, undeveloped wings)
A lot of people were disappointed that the drake mount can't fly, but having it not throw you off for walking over a pebble makes it worth it to me having a flying drake would just be ridiculous
pass times some epic pass times i use in game are barreling over orcs with a stallion (yes you can knock over enemies while riding MOST mounts), gathering tonnes of herbs (just enter a building or cave and the herbs/plants have respawned) or just seeing how far my character flies when i hit a wall while riding a really fast mount( white stallion)
Spider webs are actually used in a side quest, and poisons are used to poison blades (rogue). The forge, brunos blades, and several other things are going to be expanded on in future updates. Most drops outside of weapons, armor, potions, gold, are either used in a side quest, or not used at all in the current version. Planetshooter- I've been passing on quite a few of the suggestions from that thread, including yours, to the beta group, in case they missed them. There have been some really good ones so far.
