Reading through text isn't a bad thing as long as it's interesting, there's nothing worse than reading pages of inane dialogue and schoolboy humour. It would be nice if main quests had spoken dialogue though.
No, I meant, it would sound wrong if noone would say anything atall. The people in the game don't actually have to say what you can read, but they should say hello or somestuff in the background when you walk past.
To make a game that has 60 hours of quality gaming experience is asking a bit much. I hope they focus on quality rather than quantity.
fighting http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6ljnka2ifo&feature=fvst what is the fighting like? if its like this vid i posted (DA:O) ill probably fall in sleep while playing it . as the fighting is THE thing as stopped me from buying DA:O. i like the fighting system of gothic 4 for example (buggy demo but still i liked it). or will it be like LOTRo which was also boring IMO. i like the graphics and content, but if the fighting isn't interactive or spectacular i probably wont buy it . the spells look awesome though.
Combat is faster than DA:O, since you don't have to constantly set the ally AI (you control only one character). If you set attacks to manual, it becomes a bit more button-mashy, which may be more to your taste. The game still takes into account attack speed, though, so it's not just a matter of hitting the button as fast as possible.
I'm so excited about this, it looks absolutly epic! Just a couple of questions: Will there be an Auction House? How will looting be? Levels? Max level? Attributes? Stats? will mobs be: 2 hit kills, or like wow, you have to be a little strategic with each mob, and you will get more xp? How many items like - weapons, armors and so on, will there be? enough to make a market with trading? or limited? This is the wildest thing i have ever seen on the iPhone, since i got my 2g iphone 3 years ago Best Frej444
This is like Morrowind is and if you turn off the greetings, its horrible. So good thing they put in greetings.
Looks great! Unfortunately for me, I kinda doubt that it will support iOS 3.1.2 even if they manage to make it run on IPod 2g.
Exactly! I've been banging this drum since the Appstore's inception. People consistantly expect too much for too little around here. It happens over and over and over again. I cannot believe how spoiled iDevice owners are. I suppose you can blame it on Gameloft more than anything. Gameloft gives away far too much content for the prices they charge. They can afford to though. At last count, they had over 5000 employees. By now, they probably have way more. Your average indie dev cannot afford to operate like Gameloft does. Not even Gameloft would put in 60 hrs of content if this was their game. Nobody would give 60 hrs of a game of this caliber away for $10 or less. That's just crazy.
I want Epic Games to be the dev to charge $20-$30 for Project Sword and finally break the doors wide open.
As it is, people should get 20+ hours of gameplay from Aralon, so it will be more than worth a premium price (in app store terms).
