Just looked at the pocketgamer preview and saw the iPad screens (posted above)...simply amazing!!!!!!!
Wow those new screens are incredible! I am really loving the variety in the environments. As someone said a few pages back, how do the environments blend together? Oblivion for example did a reasonable job, but there would be times when it was winter on your right and autumn on your left...
Well it's not like they invented the vampire, they just took the basic characteristics of a vampire (Night creatures, amazing agility ect...) and threw it into the game. But either way vampires or not Aralon will still be amazing. Impressive graphics as usual, also i like how it displays how much damage is dealt during combat glad you guys added that. I just thought of an idea in which would make the story line much more exciting, by adding short (realistic) video clips for the main story line. I always seemed to enjoy those in games
That 3.rd Picture is just amazing! I still wish the player would have a proper shaddow (I don't care that much if the enemys don't)...
i found ravensword just wasn't a fun experience on the iPod Touch, so i don't think i'll get this one
I like the last one the most to be honest, also I recognize the bridge in the beginning if the game!(The witchdoctor helped to job my memory)
nah, it definetly doesen't win, but it's great for a mobile device! gothic 3 has much more grass/better looking grass and other plants that have better 3D moddels and textures, then Gothic 3 has better shaddows... the list goes on.
Agreed -- but I would say that it looks great for a game on a portable device, not just a mobile device. The only PSP game that I think compares with Aralon in terms of scope is Gun, but that had no day/night cycles (as far as I remember), no weather, little character customization, and simpler gameplay (though it did have Kris Kristofferson as a voice actor).
Yep -- it's a PS2 port, basically a Western-themed GTA, and it featured the same kind of (mostly) seamless landscapes (there were loading times when you went into different regions, like Ravensword). Though it had some mission variety, the shooting aspect of the game was ridiculously unbalanced, with an easy slow-mo "focused" mode and enough auto-aim to make Gameloft blush. The only real challenge were timed missions, and personally I find those to be little or no fun, especially with horse riding controls that were less than ideal.
So...asked it already several times...Are there loading screens while playing ? When and how many of them ? Can you either compare it to the loading mechanics of gothic 3, or oblivion/morrowind , or ravensword ? Thanks
