No NDA: in fact Galoobeth asks us to talk about the game. But the beta version we tested and the game that will come out of the Crescent Moon partnership are two different beasts. So far, none of the original beta testers have seen any of the new stuff. We're not posting any videos of the old stuff because it's misleading. Galoobeth and CMG haven't said so directly, but it's clear that they would rather we didn't record any videos of the old version.
You're exactly right, we took the YouTube trailer down since it was showcasing the old graphics. Anyone who saw the new screenshots and then saw that trailer would be very confused about what the game actually looked like. We'll make a new trailer later on that will show the new graphics in all their glory. I expect it will hit here on TouchArcade first, so keep an eye out! We have never had an NDA about the game and have tried to be pretty open about what features it has and what the gameplay is like. We have a few features that we are holding back on for now because we aren't sure if they will be going into the final build. But we still have a while before launch, so some new stuff might squeeze its way into the game!
OMG, you could do the voice acting for the guy that sells rats that can't speak normally because he has the plague.
Tomorrow we'll show some shots of the new interface and the first person view that has been implemented.
Whaaa? First person view? That nice, I didn't have a clue that you were implementing it. Looking forward to the screenshots
That's great news. A first person view was at the top of my wishlist for what should be added to the game. Sorry for starting up the unsavory voice acting conversation by the way, I was just curious.
Yep. Though it would automatically switch to 3rd person when you fired your bow, for a reason I cannot fathom.
Sorry if it's been asked before, but are the screenshots on the first page from the 3rdgen/3GS iPods, or 2nd generations?
the reason is because it got insanely tricky to make the bow look good in first person view. I'm sure we'll have the same problem this time, but we'll have to figure it out.
iphone 4 (that's why the resolution is that high) of course josh has probably already answered your question while i was typing this out..
Haha oookay that makes sense. now I know. You could look at how daggerfall handled the bow... puts it diagonally across the screen if I remember.
to make first person work right you have to make it dedicated like in a First Person Shooter - unfortunately this means you would have to make dedicated first person models. Morrowind/Oblivion do this and it is the only system that truly works.
