+1 I agree but I'm pretty sure they already have elves and trolls in it though. The screenshots look great. I'm definitely looking forward to this one and love that you'retrying to put in character customization. Btw I was just wondering if their was going to be a female character. Not like "OMGZZZ dis game sux. thars nothin in it!!!"
Well said. I liked Ravensword too and I thought the environments and artwork were fantastic, but it did leave me wanting more depth and traditional RPG gameplay. With Aralon, we have added the multiple races and classes, and you can spend points to increase your character attributes and develop the skill trees as you like. With melee and ranged weapons, dual-wielding, shields, magic, and stealth, there are many different styles of gameplay. Rogues can even gather herbs and create poisons to apply to their weapons!
Oh man... that is just sick. I can't believe the amount of content in this game! That's pretty much everything I think that Ravensword was lacking. Looking for a beta tester any time soon?
If all goes according to plan, we should be beta-ready in about 3 weeks. Stay tuned to this thread for more info . . .
To quickly answer a couple of questions I have been receiving about Aralon: Does this game have any multiplayer? The first release of Aralon will be focused on providing a top-quality single player RPG experience. We hope to make a sequel to Aralon down the road that may include some type of multiplayer. What type of multiplayer (LAN, MMO, etc) is still undetermined. What engine are you using for Aralon? Aralon was created using Unity3D, a great toolset in my humble opinion. Thanks all for your interest in Aralon!
Same for you, dicework! Looking forward to playing Rimelands. Did I hear.... Free Roam?! Yes, you can go anywhere and attack anyone in the game. The other day I was doing some high-level testing and I killed all the shopkeepers, guards, and guild masters in the capitol city. It seemed eerily quiet after that . . .
Ohh.... crap... I need this game... NOW! That sounds awesome! Almost reminds me a bit of GTA in an RPG setting with the mounts you can get and how you can just go on rampages.
Ask and you shall receive . . . I just posted some new screenshots. In the first one you can see a mage battling an orc with a pet fire elemental! Check the first post of the thread and let us know what you think!
