This is also reminiscent of Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, as the dialogue was text based other than the greeting. Ken Rolston (a lead on Morrowind and Oblivion, as well as a writer for RuneQuest and Dungeons & Dragons gazetteers) once commented that he preferred this style, as it lent power to the player's imagination, feeling that they may have went too far with the fully voiced dialogue of Oblivion. I don't necessarily agree, but lack of full voice over does not truly hurt a role-playing game, especially when one considers that the RPG industry has its basis in products that you read.
Awesome ! I have dream to have such a game in my iPod Touch Briskly christmas so that i can have my iPod Touch 4G Very good job !
The music is incredible! I hope you've got other tracks like that hidden in the game somewhere. Voice acting isn't half bad either, and the graphics are fantastic as always. Don't pay attention to the youtube community, the majority don't know how to read and make wild, unwarranted assumptions. This will be a great post-finals reward and perfect for the train ride home.
That trailer was about as beautiful a thing ad I've ever seen...... Yeah, this music was beautiful and epic. I'd buy an album of this stuff off of iTunes for sure!
excellent trailer, only the dragon system is looking weird.Camera has to be fixed so you could look only left and right but I dont know how these things work
The only thing I'm really worried about is downloading it. For instance I downloaded the free version of Prince of Persia the other day and after a few hours, it said that it was unable to.... I would be immensely upset if My iPod had the same problem with Aralon.
Ok so Real Racing put 18 months and 2 million dollars into their app, any clues as to the production costs of Aralon?
A lot? Galoobeth announced this game a really long time ago and iirc CM polished it for at least 4-5 mo.
Wow, I just saw the trailer. The lighting looks incredible, especially during that scene through the forest.
Even after all of the trailers and screenshots, I still can't quite wrap my head around just how BIG this game is going to be. The sixteenth can't come soon enough!!! And right smack in the middle of a nice long break, leaving me plenty of time to play!
lol @ all the comments on youtube about rpgs being made on mobile devices are stupid ideas, good thing ppl like that dont make games or we would still be playing atari games and not advancing at all.
on the budget issue - lets just say - if we had the kind of money to put into a game that Firemint, Chair, or even Gameloft does - we could make one HELL of a game. Hell we made one hell of a game without a frickin budget. We have some awesome ideas for games next year after some of our other stuff is done - if Aralon does well enough to keep us going - we are going to put out some wicked insane stuff! By the way: The first update is 'IN REVIEW'
