Some stores have more than one person in them. I think the armor shop in the main city has 3 shopkeepers selling different types of armor. The world is being reworked some right now so it's hard to answer this one. We certainly want the transitions between different terrain areas to be as natural as possible. It's a fantasy world though, so you never know how the landscape might be shaped
Wait in a shop like if it was a tavern, will there be multiple people just sitting around talking, and could you start a fight in it, where everyone is just attacking everyone else?
any news on the beta testing?, or if there will even be one? & lol at killing people comment, but i'm not so much scared as it is a PART of what makes games like GTA fun
there allready was beta testing back before crescent moon games got involved with revamping the graphics. They will be having beta testing again but the developers stated that all of the original beta testers will be testing the new graphics to. So I doubt they will need anybody else, but they said that if they did need more they would post on this thread when the time came. Hope this helps you out.
thanks for the reply. Although I was already aware about the previous beta testing, pretty upset that I managed to miss it too that's why I was asking if there was any news on the future beta testing they mentioned. Guess that was my fault I didn't give much details. Anyways really hoping they will be taking in some new beta testers. Owell intill then guess I'll just keep checking the thread daily
I want to see a screenshot too but I don't think that Mark is ready yet which is fine. I would like to see it finished. I guess the only game I can play is Ravensword till this comes out. Oh and xenome which ships on a few weeks
I saw some stuff that Mark did yesterday, and I was very impressed. Surprisingly(to me anyway), it does look somewhat similar to Ravensword's world. Jason also made some great progress with a tool that will let us scatter plants, rocks, and grasses around the terrain to give it a very lush feeling. I'm going to get the human heads exported today (hopefully) the elves are already done for the most part. Then we have to figure out what is going on with the Troll race.
There aren't many careers where you can say this in the context of your work. game developer, head hunter, serial killer...
Wow that sounds great! I can't wait for this game. I hope I can play this till ravensword 2 comes out later in 2010. I think this was asked? But will there be night and day or differant kinds of weather?
As of the last beta: different kinds of weather -- yes. Night and day -- no. That could very well change before everything is said and done, of course.
Does this game have more plants than Ravensword? The gameworld seemed a bit "empty" at times. Also, will the colors be as bright as in Ravensword, or a bit darker (as in the concept art)?
@trotgar in our build, i dont recall there being a significant amount of plants, but mainly cus i payed clise attention to the enemies and tasks on hand. also, we havent recieved the build with the new art so we cant say anything about that yet.
I think once I get a test level from Mark I'm going to play with the lighting and colors a bit. I do like the more atmospheric look of the concept art, and the more drab colors. Might be refreshing to have something different. There will be plenty of more plants and foliage - we've got a whole new system developed for it, so we can have more on the screen. Theres a new sky system too, which does have day and night built in - whether its going to be active we aren't sure yet. There are so many tasks to do we just have to take it a few steps at a time.
