Since so many TA members(my self included)want this to top the charts, take the time to post on your twit[___]book or other non ios gaming sites. im sure you can sway at least one person......maybe even a "non iphone gamer"
IB had the advantage of being the first full iPhone game to use the UT3 engine, so Apple really used that as a selling point for the new iPhone and iPod Touch. I just can't see Apple doing anything for Aralon that could be too helpful this late into the game. It's a shame that Apple missed such a gem. :/ I do agree with your and YouSuckDude's points though.
I was just thinking that. If Apple chooses Aralon as their App of the Week, it could definitely end up in the top 10.
With nova 2, rr2, possibly bfbc all coming out that day it wouldn't be easy. I personally think NOVA2 will be the app of the week. Amazing graphics, polished online multiplayer, a good story, and a fanbase already it has a strong chance. Then again the same thing goes for RR2 the 16th can't come sooner!
I just noticed that theres a Game of the Week and a App of the Week. Maybe Nova 2 can be one and Aralon can be the other even though its highly unlikely. Heres Hopin for it.
Well, they don't have close to the amount of hype Aralon has built up. I think its going to be hard for them to top the Top25, but there is a chance.
You are totally right. I havent seen that much hyping for NOVA 2, anyway i think Aralon will be way better than NOVA 2
[/QUOTE] I personally think NOVA2 will be the app of the week. The story will probably suck and the gameplay will probably be repetitive. It will most likely be a battle between Real Racing 2 and Aralon. Oh and Aralon will have a big Fanbase as well because of Ravensword and Rimelands
I doubt that, given a choice, Apple will choose an app that doesn't have GameCenter support. I expect it will go to RealRacing 2.
Aralon has built up a huge fan-base just on TouchArcade alone. I'm sure from the first minute it goes live, a significant amount of sales will be from TouchArcade visitors. On another note, I feel like we haven't gotten enough videos before the release. Maybe we'll get a new video or two this week ?
Dumb question and I haven't been able to trudge through all the posts for the answer but this won't let you access your save cross-device, right? It just would suck not being able to continue my game if I'm only using my iPhone but either way it won't matter. Would just be nice that's all
There is supposed to be at least one more trailer that will come out before the release, Josh told us. And does anyone know hat time of day it will go live? Like a midnight sorta deal, or morning, or what?
i don't think this had been posted in the forum yet, i just found it on crescent moons website... That which is done cannot be undone, but it can be avenged. Three hundred years ago, the great Emperor Thalos ruled a empire that stretched from the Eastern Sea to the frozen wastelands of the north. It was said that he drew on his magic to extend his lifespan, so that he ruled beyond the years of any normal man. Finally, when he sensed mortality drawing near, he sought to become immortal and challenge the gods themselves. He journeyed far into the frozen north, seeking the legendary Well of Life. Drawing on the Well’s magic, he cast a spell so mighty that the world shuddered on its foundations. The face of the Earth shattered, and the seas rose and fell. Waves as tall as mountains reshaped the landscape. The world was shattered and re-made, and Thalos vanished into the mists of Legend. In the three centuries since that dark day, pockets of survivors have struggled to rebuild. From the ashes of that dark time arose the Kingdom of Aralon, forged of a pact between the elves, trolls, and humans. Now a shadow has fallen over the land, and all the promise of a peaceful Aralon hangs on the delicate thread of Fate. A hero must answer the call to restore the hope of the future, and re-discover the legacy of the past.
