I'm very glad about that. I suppose I'm just really disappointed that IB advertised itself as an RPG when, levelling up system aside, it bears absolutely no resemblance to an RPG. This is probably the main reason people are comparing the two. Because they LIED. Now I shall twiddle my thumbs until aralon.
Yeah, it looks stunning, but what's the point if you can't go hunting around that lovely scenery? Mark
I LIVE medieval theme! I'm updating my website with some "behind the scenes" look at the art development of Aralon. I'll post once it's complete.
Seriously, stop. have you even played teh game? I agree Aralon will be alot better, but so far, Inifinty Blade is the best game i've played on the iPhone. It is a fantastic game, please stop all the bitching. Infinity blade has PS3 looking graphics, so at least if you won't give it credit for being a really good game, give it some for the graphics. Hope it's not released too soon Josh, there's a lot of games to be played!
That's great. Your one of the main figures we have to give thanks for all of this. So, thanks for the makeover!
Wow. This thread is really really hyped up. Sadly I'll be overseas for the next 3 days. hopefully by the time I'm back Aralon will be just about released I have a question, : is there any chance that a future update will have online-multiplayer? I know this question's been posed earlier in the thread(read the whole thing) but no one could give a definite answer.. Maybe a dev or josh himself could enlighten me on this This game is truly mmo worthy, however once I think logically it'll be immensely difficult to incorporate multiplayer for such an in-depth game. Still, it'd be interesting very, very, very, very,(add a few more 'very's) interesting -Cheers-
It's not an MMO, and thankfully it'll stay that way. If you want an MMO then I suggest you download Pocket Legends (free). http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pocket-legends-3d-mmo/id355767097?mt=8
Debating between this and Illusia. While I enjoy free-roaming adventures to a point with console gaming, I think I prefer games that tend to focus more on action when it comes to my iPod Touch. Game does look great though!
Aralon is well balanced between action and exploration. Also, once you get a mount, you can also choose to whip through areas without fighting enemies or get your boots on the ground and take all comers. As to the Infinity Blade/Aralon issue -- there isn't one. I'm having a blast with Infinity Blade, but the experience is much closer to Punch Out or even Soul Calibur with RPG elements. Aralon provides a completely different experience.
Wow. Nice.. I'm enjoying IB now too. But truly looking forward to Aralon. From my experience with IB so far and what's been said about Aralon, I can't really seem to find a common point or base to start comparing them either.
Well thats not really true with your horse. Enemies can knock you off a lot. But once you get some of the other mounts you can run through with no problem.
Can we stop bringing up Infinity Blade? It's apples and oranges, people. One is a fighting game and the other is a rpg. If you're going to compare Aralon to anything, then Ravensword is probably the closest thing. And like I said many moons ago, I think Aralon is going to be the game that Ravensword wanted to be, but ended up falling on it's face while trying.
It's great for backtracking. And yes, enemies can knock you off, but if you get good enough you can ride around them, even on a horse. When you first get to an area, though, you really want to be on the ground.
