Since it "runs" on 2nd generation iPods does that mean no OpenGL ES 2.0? (No shader-based graphics?) o.0?
no, we experimented with it, but the frame rate was better with 1.1 so we stuck with that. it also had weird issues with lighting - the caves would be all dark for no apparent reason. that's not saying we might not try it again in the future, but we wanted the best frame rate - I think thats more important than shader effects. The games lighting system is already pretty advanced with a full night/day system, torch lighting, and other effects.
In the options you can set graphics settings, as well as first person mode. If you so choose. As well as multiple save slots.
I just wanna know if Aralon is even in Review right now. We all know its been submitted, but if Apple was smart, they'd review it now
Well apple is probably pretty swamped with games devs want out for the holidays so I would say it's not in review yet. Maybe later this week though. I'm just hoping its out before Christmas.
Yeah, and although Aralon is the most hyped game, it's not fair to the other games that this should be released before. At least i don't think so.
Can someone give some info on flying mounts? we know it's not free like the "ground-mounts", but how does it work?
So far, the only flying sequences beta testers have encountered are on-rails: you have camera control, but that's it.
