I've procured the materials for an Ion Bomb, if this game doesn't live up to my expectations I'm leaving it at my parents and activating the timer, then shooting myself into the sun with a picture of 'Josh' by my side to burn into oblivion.

That is, if the game doesn't live up to my expectations.

In other news I've legally changed my son's name to HYPE because I love the word so much, his brother OVER is delighted.

Ok - I think I have to clear something up.
    HD, vs 2nd gen support.

The build we are releasing is labeled HD because it fully supports 3rd Gen and up, Retina Display, including iPad as well.

However - beta testers (such as iVaro) that had 2nd gen devices said that it ran fine there as well - which was a nice bonus because clearly we want to support 2nd gen. Jason did do a makeover of a bunch of the outdoor areas to get them to run on 2G. However, we concentrated most of our efforts on 3rd gen and up, and are saving the full 2nd gen support for a seperate, less expensive app.

(Kind of like Rage and Rage HD)

So take it for what its worth.

We want everyone to be able to play this game, believe me.

    On pricing:

The lower price introductory price will make the game a little bit more accessible to most people. The amount of content in the game though, demands a higher price, IMO.

    I see
I have a question though regarding saving
Will there be anyway to have online cloud based saving like galaxy on fire 2 and openfeint?
Cause it would be nice to play on both iphone and ipad the same save file.

Though its not that big ofa deal since I always have my iPad with me

Also, the price will go to 9.99 after December 29th right?

So, in other words, it'll run on a 2nd gen, but to get the full experience, you need 3rd gen and up... right?

EDIT: Wait, so you're also releasing a separate, less expensive version of Aralon? Or a totally different game?

    13 days = 312 hours

    312 hours = 18,720 minutes

    18,720 minutes = 1,123,200 seconds

    Let the countdown begin...

Sorry to ask more questions, but does that mean that the HD release will (like the beta) work on 2nd gen devices, but with lower textures and potential frame-rate and stability problems, or will it need to be the designated standard definition version?

You should probably wait till the next version for the best and smoothest framerate.

Does the separate app for 2g come out at the same time? Otherwise I have no clue which one to get...the one that probably comes out sooner and doesn't run as well or the one that runs really well on 2g, but I'll have to wait a little bit...
