Were you one of the early version beta testers? When they get the new revamp close to done do you think they will beta test again
We will be having another beta test once we get closer to release. Right now we are in a major development cycle again, working on integrating vast amounts of new (amazing) artwork into the game and polishing gameplay. If we do need additional beta testers down the road, we'll post in this thread when the time comes!
IMO it'll have the graphics and gameplay of Ravensword except enhanced a lot more and filled with other features and the dungeon exploring of Dungeon Hunter, could be wrong but that's what I think.
To me the gameplay aspect (or at least the combat part) reminds me more of Dragon Age (or a modified WoW). Ravensword's combat is more hack n slash. Aralon has a much larger variety of things going on and a huge world, which is why we chose to work with them.
Let me just add that, as far as gameplay is concerned, there's really no other game in the App Store that's comparable. Aralon is way deeper than Dungeon Hunter, and much bigger and complex than Ravensword. A single-character Dragon Age is a good comparison, but with an open world like Morrowind.
I want to know how the camera is positioned in it. Is it third person like ravensword or is it positioned in the roof like in the dungeon hunter. I have only played the lite version of the dungeon hunter and liked it. Considering to buy it soon. And I have completed ravensword a month ago. It was the one and only game that gave me a great sense of immersiveness and I completed it in two days. Looking forward for more games like than. Please give me some suggestions if there are already in AppStore.
Quick Note Hey guys, This is Sam from Galoobeth Games. I apologize that after the original post I have been kinda out of the picture. Law school finals and all that jazz. Anyway, I wanted to just make a few comments and then address a couple of questions/issues. First, Jason and I are beyond ecstatic to have partnered up with CM. We had a little conference call before we decided to move forward, we could immediately tell that these were the type of guys we wanted to work with, and even grab a beer with. Of course, there is always some trepidation when you feel like you are losing control of your baby(Aralon), but I am glad to report that we have had nothing but a positive experience so far, and we definately see this partnership continuing for quite some time. Someone brought up the issue of MS helping Bungie make Halo, or something to that effect. That comment was funny to me, I still remember following the original PC Halo trailers and screenshots before MS swooped in and bought them up and made the game XBOX only. I remember being pretty pissed off at the time, but I just went back to Counter-strike Let me reassure you, this is not some corporate behemoth swooping in with mandates and target deadlines forcing compromises on us. It is actually quite the opposite. CM is just a couple of guys that have had some serious success because of their creativity, work ethic, and committment to creating fun games. We hope to be half as successful as they are. Jason and I are absolute committed to the same goal, and we would never let anything come between that. We have been friends for almost 18 years, and have been plotting world domination through video games for quite some time now... CM has been nothing but respectful of what we have done. Their contributions are directed towards making our game just that much better. They have been amazingly helpful, and have allowed us access to so many useful resources in the couple of weeks we have been working with them. One final note, I haven't spoken to Jason about it yet and I am not sure if it has already been addressed, but I am firmly committed to including any original beta testers as part of the group for the newly updated version. We may also need additional testers, and that will be open to everyone. I like to think that our original beta testrs should be rewarded for their loyalty. Not to mention the fact, that each beta tester was incredibly helpful and patient through our bug fixes, and helped contribute to our overall success. Anyway, I am out of school for a bit and I will be loitering around these boards. Please feel free to post any questions or ideas that you might have and I will try to get to them ASAP.
Man I remember when the game used to crash every 2 minutes and when it wouldn't even load because of too much memory. Good times, good times
I'm am glad to hear that you guys might be taking in some new beta tester, I for one still can't believe i missed the original beta testing, iv'e been following Aralon since the first time i noticed it in the threads months ago! Besides that, you guys have been doing an amazing job from what iv'e been reading. Open world, Skill Tree, customizable characters, ect... I would have never thought from games like tap tap revenge that this was even possible. So all I can say is thank you for making a dream come true and i would be more than great full to help in anyway i can including in any future beta testings. Despite exams I will put very much time into testing Aralon to help raise it to become the "baby" you initially intended it to be. If you do consider my help fill free to email me at [email protected] or a simple PM would do Good luck to everyone bringing Aralon to life!
