I like playing the more "hardcore" games on my iPhone. Even when I'm sitting by my PC or PS3. iPhone gaming strangely appeals to me, maybe because most of my gaming as a child was done on handheld devices (Gameboy original/color/advance etc), or maybe I'm just fascinated that I can play such great games on such a small thin device that is always with me. I suppose in a way it's kind of like a fetish, most people don't understand the appeal (and would rather play on their PC/Console), but there are a minority who do.
Hey guys, i have 2 problems here, 1) im kinda stuck in rimelands and 2) i cant find the right threat for it! Could and or would some one please help me? (either with the game og with a link to the rimelands threat) Sorry for posting an aralon-useless post in here! Are we getting any closed to knowing a release date yet?
wrong place and idk I beat the game a while back. Check the app thread. And its supposed to be released around Christmas time
I'll do even better than that, I'll tell you how to do it yourself. There's a "Search" button in the bar at the top of the forum page. Click on "Search", then on "Advanced Search", then enter "rimelands" in the search box and select "Search Titles Only" (rather than "Search Entire Posts").
just wanted to let my favorite thread know that i'm leaving the forums; sold my ipod and bought a zune hd. the zune's really nice but i won't infuriate people by talking about it. wish i could've played aralon! keep up the good work!!
No, not much. Say I was going to invest substantial money in making a game. It might actually be worth thinking about what people like and why they like it. If it bothers you to think about such things, you don't have to do it.
I don't think it has anything near the quantity of stuff in the AppStore. Probably not even a 500.th of it. But they have Audiosurf...
The reason we're excited is because we've already played Ravensword - and liked it - and can't wait for a "beefier" more expanded version of that type of game.
Mostly for relaxation, I'm going to be lounging on my couch/bed while playing this instead of sitting in a chair. I don't own a console (sold it due to lack of play). Also, passive-aggressive much? You're turning well meaning banter into full blown arguments.
You're asking the wrong question. You must be a wanna-be journo and/or wanna-be marketing golem. Or just a plain old troll. Those types of people have a knack for asking the wrong questions, usually because they don't really understand what they talking about in the first place and have no real "people" skills. I've met lots of both. If you're in these forums then you should already know the answers to all your questions. If not, well then....it would appear to me that you're not the brightest bulb on the ol' Christmas tree. You don't see people walking out in the middle of an NFL or FIFA game asking questions on how to play the game now do you? Of course not. The people there already know and don't ask asinine, idiot man-child questions about how to play. It's not whether or not someone likes it "more" or "less" than a PC or console game. I loved playing Oblivion and Fallout 3 on my Xbox 360. I'm not expecting the same type of game on an iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch - I'm a realist who understands the technological limits found in mobile hardware. I like both types of RPG games - console and mobile - equally. I can't drag a PC with me everywhere I go. I can't very well whip out a PC while standing in line at the chow hall, or standing in line while in/out-processing, or sitting on the flight line waiting to fly out. I also can't whip out a laptop while sitting on jump seats in the back of a C-130 for a long flight or on a long chopper ride somewhere. I travel light, usually with only an iPad and iPhone in a small bag with a few days of clothes and toiletries. The Macbook Pro stays in the rear with my xBox and I connect to it remotely over the net when I need to - which is rare. So I guess the point of this exercise is for you to stop asking stupid, asinine questions in a vain effort to make yourself somehow look smarter than you actually are.
I'm pretty sure your insults are far outside the forum rules. How can it possibly be my goal to "somehow make myself look smarter"? My goal is to increase my knowledge. You accidentally answered some of my questions between your insults, and I thank you for the information, even if you regret helping me.
I do not think so. Your answer is helpful and interesting. Why can't you just answer the question and not attack me for asking it? I don't think it's "passive-aggressive" to wish that people would answer my questions, or not, but not launch all of these personal insults just because they think the questions shouldn't be asked.
Why don't you create a new thread in the "General Game Discussion and Questions" called "Why do people play RPGs on the iDevice when RPG's are better on the PC/Console" rather than asking these questions in this thread?
That's not a bad idea in addition to here. I guess I tend to ask questions where the people are, and it seems very relevant to this thread. I'm not sure there is much activity in such a generic thread, but I haven't looked in the General forum much.
