There is a small bush just behind the abandoned hut near the small village your given the soothing potion from ( forgot her name) and when you highlight it you can pick it
I'm sure it's been mentioned before somewhere, but it would make playing the mage class a whole lot better if the range on spells were to be increased. Every time I try to cast a spell, I have to get too close and end up getting pummeled because I had to get into the aggro range of an enemy. Game center support would be awesome too . Thanks
When you're playing as the mage, summon your fire elemental first. When you're out of range, you can press the attack button and your fire elemental will run up and tank. You'll draw aggro after 2-3 spells but it's better than tanking alone
Fantastic game but the iPad version seriously needs an update. About half of the menus, inventory screens and loading screens are simply ipod-sized images in the middle of the screen! It looks like an iPhone game being played on th iPad without the x2 button pressed.. A real bummer (especially for the inventory screens), but I figure it'll be fixed soon, right? =\ In the meantime I'll play some Eternal Legacy HD and World of Goo. Once you guys update Aralon I'm back in
Yes, thank you! That is my biggest complaint apart from the crashes that happen not so frequently. The game is great fun, I just hope one day I can have a pet for my Ranger! (Seriously, Rangers NEED pets! Its a rule of RPGS!) But just a note, the arrows should do a lot less damage, and instead you guys should get rid of the whole buying arrow system...That way the rangers don't feel too cheap (I played as a mage for a bit, and a ranger now, and the basic arrow damage is insane :S)
I've played a little bit more so, as promised, I'm back with more suggestions: *Give pets to Rangers. *When attacking a target, make the character automatically face him. It looks pretty bad when my Ranger is shooting an arrow at an enemy while looking and aiming nowhere near him. *Make buffs/cooldowns have a visual countdown. When a buff (like Tangleroot used on an enemy) is about to expire, have it flash and/or display a clock-like rotating countdown (if you've played WoW then you know what I'm talking about). *Grey out actions/spells that are in the action bar that can't be used because you lack the mana/energy needed to cast it. You can also add a visual cooldown to these as well. *Allow the option to lock the camera behind the character. *Allow full range of vision, including being able to look at the sky. *Allow the selling of multiple duplicate items. For instance, if I have 4 wolf pelts in my inventory that I am selling, let me sell them all at once. *Add an inventory comparison option. When I'm looking at an item in my inventory or at a trader, allow the ability to compare it to the item that is currently equipped. *Make the options menu accessible from within the game instead of having to save and exit to the main menu. *Add some kind of indicator to the number of arrows remaining when the player is using a bow and gets low on arrows. It's pretty annoying to constantly run out of arrows and then go equip more. Would be nice to know when I'm low or even to be able to have it auto-equip more from my inventory when I run out.
Well, first off I'd like to say something to Josh and Developers, This is game is not finished!! I have eagerly awaited this release and am overall pretty pleases, but the game feels really unfinished. It needs to be refined, please, I'll wait but over time I would like to see alot, if not all of these suggestions in this thread implemented as updates. Please don't be like Gameloft and just release a game, fix only the bugs, and not try and make the game even better. So, in conclusion, I am really excited to wait over these next couple of weeks or even months for CM/goolabeth to refine the greatest mobile game ever! On, my part, my most pressing things that need to be done are allowing you to bribe a any city guard to become lawful again, and more skills/spells for all classes, especially a heal spell. In addition (lol this is getting kind of long) Devs please look at the PC games fate and torchlight. I know this is a 3D RPG that is usually compared with Oblivion and such games, but you could really implement things from those games too. Suggestions are magic gems that you could combine with items to create items with magic powers and such. Also more different types of fish to catch, and to have to occational rare item that a fish swallowed. This and the spells that the character can wield. Such as summoning creatures. I don't excpect this as an update, but rather maybe a sequel or an entirely new game. Keep making RPG's like this, you guys have a talent for it
I have some suggestions - some may be considerable, others may not: - Options screen: it would be nice if we didn't have to exit our game just to go to the option screen. - Music for inns, shops, and basic houses: This isn't exactly a big deal, but I just think it would've been better to have a more upbeat feel and sound to the building music. The current music sounds rather... depressing in a way. You also could look up "World of Warcraft: Taverns of Azeroth" on iTunes for some examples. I believe the inns' music should be changed the most to something more appealing. - Co-op: others have more than likely already thought of this, but this game would be perfect for this feature. Even if co-op was just a 2 player dungeon crawler in specific dungeons, it still would be great. - New Warrior Skill: a skill that allowed the character to dash or charge to the enemy would be nice. Sometimes, it feels rather dull to simply run up to an enemy. So why not charge to them? - More villager interaction: I might be going a bit far toward the Fable series direction with this, but it would be fairly interesting if there were possibly expressions or something of the sort to grab a villager's attention or simply interact more. Some possible expressions could include: Bow (NPCs already do that), Wave (along with this as well), Dance, and Nod (and this). - Villager's opinions: this could be a very interesting addition to the NPC interaction system. Most of the villagers, except guards, main characters, and shopkeepers, will have separate opinions on you based on your deeds and actions done throughout the world. This also would give villagers more variety. For example, some could have a criminal reputation and appreciate you more if you have criminal tendencies, whereas others could have a high-class reputation and expect you to act lawfully. This could even integrate with the possible expressions idea. - Morality meter - in my opinion, the current reputation system is rather... unforgiving. You do one bad deed and everyone hates you and calls you an outlaw. So, as in like Fable (or even in World of Warcraft), you include an morality meter that bases on your good or evil actions. When focused on good, people will be more forgiving to your mistakes (for ex. you steal a chest and someone sees you, they will most likely let you slide at a small cost. Additionally, you could also be kicked out of the building/area). When evil, people are less trusting and will consider you an outlaw more quickly than if you were good (for ex. you steal a chest and someone sees you, you will be attacked instantly with no excuses). - World Map: I'm not sure if there is already one or if you get one later on, but a world map would be handy. - Family: This could further village interaction and increase social attributes in the city. Being able to marry someone or having a "good friend" would be interesting to see. To be honest, it probably would be tough to do, but I just think it would be cool to have. It could even integrate with the expression idea from above. - Player owned house? - So, I remember reading that you get your own house somewhere, and I'd like to think it is different than the house you first start out in. If there isn't then it would be perfect to be able to own your own house, and possibly even decorate it the way you want. - Barber Shop? - not sure if there already is one, but a barber shop that allows you to choose a different hair style than you first chosen one would be awesome and convenient. - Tattooist: Again, I'm not sure if there is already one. In the character customization screen, there were tattoos on your character's body. So having a tattooist who can change your tattoo looks would be a great addition. - Swimming Bugs: the swimming component of the game has multiple bugs, especially when trying to exit the water and onto a ladder. - Lastly, I'm going to emphasize save slot confirmation as others have suggested. I have 3 files on a single device and have nearly saved over the wrong file many times. This would be a good idea to put in. So, my final words, this game is truly a job well done and is definitely open for more potential. Can't wait to see what comes up next in the coming months and I do hope you put some of my suggestions into thought.
Idk if this has been mentioned, but, for me, the "A Meeting Disrupted" quest keeps freezing as soon as the conversation between the men at the meeting is over.
Just want to say I can't believe this game exists on the iPod - it is great, reminds me of a mix between Ultima IX, Gothic, and Morrowind. I would love to see the Take All button close off the menu if pressed, and some general music/sound balancing. That said I am thrilled each time I sit down to play this game - and for the complaints I've read about stiff animation, or close view distance - I grew up playing Deus Ex on low settings with terrible frame rates, when I got Morrowind I had to run it in 640x480 with the view distance slider all the way to the left. Aralon looks beautiful - textures, lighting, character models, etc. - my favourite part is watching the sun rise. As for the animation - most of the time it looks great and the 10% of the time the animation seems stiff... well that is a problem Bethesda is still having to this day, so... Great work guys!!!!! - it was well worth the wait and I look forward to your future releases.
* Talking to NPC's takes too long. They do this really long bow/curtsy thing. Normally I like to poke around and talk to all the generic looking fellows in games but this makes me avoid talking to anyone I don't have to. * Prioritize targeting system. It is frustrating when even in the middle of fighting the game wants to target my henchmen over and over. * Lair of the spider queen. The web the queen sits on is rail thin and the controls on a touch screen simply are not accurate enough. Which means either fall over and over or take 5 minutes to walk 10 feet.
I am EXTREMELY satisfied with this released and I agree with most of the stuff mentioned thus far. Personally, what I would most like to see is some balance/RPG system changes, like some more nuances to the skill trees, stats, and more importantly, equipment as well as some spawning tweaks (because it's pretty annoying as it is). And, of course, bug/graphics fixes would be great (like NPC head pieces that clip through their heads). For example, it is extremely easy to get trapped by an npc that is following you. This could be easily fixed by have them automatically get out of your way in non-combat situations. As for the problem of accidentally starting a conversation during combat. I think it would be a good idea to have a dedicated combat button and a dedicated action button. That would essentially eliminate the problem and hopefully permit me to pull out my weapons whenever I like because it looks bad-ass.
Yea, that's been addressed a few times. Happened to me too. I think it's being fixed in the upcoming bug fix update.
