This has probably been mentioned before, although I'll say it again in case it hasn't. I think there should be an option to change the opacity of the HUD. Like a slider in the options menu.
I'd also like an indicator in the status screen or something telling me how long I have played. Can't find anything like this and I would like to know.
Bug, menu I've got one suggestion and one problem to report: *Problem: When attempting the quest where you must report to the hedge maze on the mansion's grounds, the characters you are overhearing notice you and a fight seems to be coming... then the game freezes up totally. Please fix this or tell me what I can do to get around it. *Suggestion: Make everything iPad size. The load screens, inventory screens, etc. are too small (iPhone size). At least give an option for blowing them up to full size. Like the game so far, but I'd like to be able to get further in it without the crash.
I would love it if you guys removed the "HD" from the games home screen Icon. It would accomplish two things. One, it would make the icon look much better and two, having a HD version icon with no standard version of the game is confusing people.
Hey everyone, first post I love this game, but the one thing about it that is pretty unbearable is the swimming. Perhaps simply speeding up underwater movement would change everything.
Bug i once swam down to the bottem in the open water... i began to walk ... nd couldnt start swimming again . had to load
Fixed! Installed the update, tried the hedge maze quest again and it works! Thanks! Great job on the game; I'm completely addicted.
Downloading, downloading....thanks Josh for opening the thread to hear our issues, improvement and fix it ASAP
There really needs to be a jump button There are far to many times where I need to either reload or take time out to get over a small ledge. This could be easily fixed with a jump button.
One thing that really bugs me that I would like to see changed is the Spells for mages attack value per rank. It's pretty weak that you have to waste a point (or 2) in the skill tree to upgrade, say Fireblast or the Ice Shield only to have the next rank do less damage than the highest upgraded spell the rank before it. I.E., why does Fireblast Rank 2 upgraded 4/4 times do significantly more damage than Fireblast Rank 3 and 4? I realize that upgrading Rank 3's to the full 4/4 would do more damage than a fully upgraded Rank 2, but why start it innitially lower? I can even slightly understand same damage (in the case of Ice Shield Rank one 3/3 shielding the same amount of damage than Ice Shield Rank 2, though that sucks too). Why not just an incrimental value? Even 15 more points of damage done or blocked would make me feel like I wasn't wasting a damn point. Also, Fireblast (at least the higher ranks) should have a DoT or something (Damage over time). Not a whole lot or anything, as they do quite a bit of damage in the later ranks, but DoT would be really sweet. Also if Ice Bolt slowed enemies down for like 3 seconds or something (not necessarily in attack but movement speed or something) in the later ranks. Make it interesting or something. That would add a little more fun to the same old spells you know you are going to get that just do more damage as you upgrade them. And lastly, Can you make the buffs last a little longer? Like maybe 5 minutes instead of 2? I use Armour of Air and Ice Shield rightously. But sometimes in the longer boss battles Armour of Air wears off and I have to rebuff. I know this is a bullshit complaint but like I said, 3 extra minutes would be all the sweeter in case I forget or have to battle waves of incoming respawns. The Ice Shield wears off fast anyways since it only lasts as long as the damage you take but yeah... just a thought that's all. Great job on the update though by the way. Glad it was released. Thanks! -Booch138
i kinda agree with this. it is a shame to spend a talent point on a spell that will go down in usefulness. however, you can have two of them on your bar, so for a while i was using rank 1 and 2 of fire blast, until rank 1 becomes obsolete. i will probably continue to do so when rank 3 is available etc.
just seen a guy in the main thread having probs with the drag-and-drop method of deleting items. I agree it isn't the most intuitive way to do it - hows about just having the delete box as a button, so you select an item and then press delete?
Thanks for the game, I loved Ravensword so this was an hour 1 purchase for me. Most of my wishes have already been stated by others, but here goes: - A cloud-based save system would be nice for a long game like this. It's nice to go between iPad and iPhone, and some piece of mind in case my phone gets corrupted would be helpful. WarpGate does it with Plus+, Galaxy on Fire 2 does it with OpenFeint, and Pocket Legends saves everything on its own servers since it's a network game. Any of these options would be great. - I get lost a lot, probably because I'm not very bright. A map, a big idiot arrow, or a compass would help me not run in circles. - Can you add some recommended settings for detail for different devices? - I don't like the icon. A lady or creature portrait would be more interesting than the elf-dude. We don't need the "HD" in the icon and the app label, either.
But that's what bugs me. If I go up a rank, why should I still be using the old rank? lol if the casting speed was different or something that would be a whole different story (like casting in WoW) but that doesn't apply to this. All in all it just feels like I am wasting a point that's all.
My wish list I want to echo what many have said. Very enjoyable game, could be a great game with some tweaks. Some of my requests: I find it annoying when you work to get to a chest and open it only to find nothing in it. Maybe that's not unusual for RPG games, but it's like opening an empty package on your birthday. If there's nothing to find, don't put a chest there. If the chest is there put something in it. Arrows. A dagger. A piece of bread. Something. Why not make the various containers (crates, barrels, urns, etc.) breakable? Put something of value in some of them. If you had containers that only occasionally held something you wouldn't have to have empty chests. It would give the player a zillion more ways to interact with the world. Why can't I use my weapon (or my fist) and attack who or what I want when I want? I should be able to attack a citizen -- and there should be consequences of course. As it is the character can only interact in prescribed ways and in prescribed places. You can shoot a deer, but you can't shoot a rabbit. You can speak to a citizen, but you can't do anything else. You can break into a house, steal the treasure but you can't use a weapon on the owner. You can talk to them though, as if conversing with thieves was a common thing. I don't know if this is intentional, but I swam to the bottom of the deep portion of the sewer, touched bottom and stood up. When I did that all the water vanished and I was stuck. No way out. I hope this is a bug and not a trap. I think there should be an indication of the milestones that need to be accomplished before a quest is undertaken. I get that it's non-linear, but I hate putting the time into a quest that I don't have the experience to complete. How about a document in the "library?" I'd like the ability to put gold in the chests in the bank. You are given the option to take gold out -- but if it's an empty chest there's none to take out, and you can't put any in -- so why have the option? NPC voices are not just too soft as some have reported, they are at varying levels -- sometimes two characters in the same room are wildly different. How difficult is it to mix the vocal levels so that they're all equally audible? Can NPCs move around? I know it's typical to this kind of game, but it's also one of the primary weaknesses in building an alternative world. If they had actions they did (when not in conversation), or if they had a few locations where they could be found it would really help the immersion experience. You can move. Your mount can move. Your enemies move -- sometimes they drop from the sky. Animals move. Birds fly through the sky, but the NPCs are as life-less as the animatronics in Disney's Hall of Presidents. I also want to affirm the following comments made by others: More character customization (skin tones, variable hair and tats). In fact, I'd like a character to be customizable throughout the game, not just at the start. Refill vendors' shelves. Absolutely essential. "Take all" closes the window. Sell items in stacks. Buy back items sold by mistake. More slots for function shortcuts/ weapons. More sensitive controls to allow more walking, less falling off of bridges. A compass on the main page. What good is labeling locations by direction without a way to determine direction? The position arrow on the map is only marginally useful. Mounts less sensitive to surroundings. Falling off repeatedly makes mounts no faster than walking. Redemption path for outlaws. Perhaps a cleric NPC with "good works" quests? Redemption points for giving away gold to the needy? Alms? Papal indulgences? Enough with the respawning of defeated enemies. I'm okay with earning the experience points over and over, but it seems futile to fight them at all at times. Landscape and NPCs appearing out of nowhere spoils the immersion. You need to be able to examine quest reward items before choosing them. There should be a rest/regenerate button. Perhaps a location where the character can eat and sleep. A room at an inn? A house that can be bought? There's the house held by ruffians -- what if that could be cleared and the ruffians not respawned? Clear a house, keep a house. I'd like to see fatigue and hunger exploited more in the game, but there has to be an equal life-like means to dispel both. Thanks for the passion for building a great game and the ears open to hear suggestions from players.
What I'd really really like to go away is when an enemy pop-ups right in front of you with no warning. It's like their teleported there. I'd like there to be fewer monsters and bandits on the main roads and more in the hills. Possibility of other travelers on the road? I also would like to see a progress bar on the loading screens.
