v1 can you fix outside areas for bugs? you can fall in a lot different places. UG, OG caves-check entrances from sides. -you cant get off a small boat in one of first cities, spider queen is glitched etc. well there are bugs in every area
It's not really a deal breaker, but it would fit really naturally. Similar to TES or the Fallout games, jumping isn't all that important, but it's pretty nice
Maps This is probably my favorite game...I have run into no glitches so far so i have some minor suggestions. -There needs to be a complete world map b/c I have no idea where some places that i have to go are and i dnt want to have to search for 10 minutes to find it -also i think objects in the distance should pop up less obviously and from a longer distance away
I think a lot of people would agree with something like this, based on what I've read here and in the main thread: Enemies in cave/dungeon zones don't respawn unless you exit the zone (via door/portal/other exit) and re-enter it. In outdoor areas, maybe use a minimum distance from player character rule to prevent spawns too close to you so you don't see them fall from the sky etc.
If you save right after you kill an NPC and reload that save point sometimes the NPC will instantly spawn when you have little health from fighting it previously.
I feel this game needs either a minimap or a compass. Right now as it is, you spend alot of time switching between the map and running in circles if you don't know where you are. It's rather clunky and it really slows you down.
its definitely better than before when it didn't even have a map! lol we added the map at the very last moment...
Sync between iOS devices Aralon is really great, and I am only at the beginning... My main suggestion : being able to move a game between different iOS devices. For me, it means between my iPad (used at home) and my iPod Touch (used in public transportation). Thanks for this incredible game !!!
Well you guys did a bang up job on the whole game, I have to say! Since you put it that way, I guess that's not so bad.... But dangit I run in circles in games like these (so not just this one) all the time. Bad sense of direction, probably. lol Dungeon Hunter 2 has the same issue too so I can learn to deal
Well Crescent Moon, great job over-all. Amazing game, Galoobeth. But the only thing that is hurting the experience, of course; bugs. Chief among them, one I just came across. The problem came when two rats killed me. I reloaded from last save and I started about 1 second before I died.... Not cool. I ended up having to turn and run as fast as I could and eventually made it to the door and escaped, right into a room guarded by a bandit and I had one HP and no potions. This turned into a cycle that ended up with me running completely out of the dungeon and ending up out of the dungeon I worked on getting through. This was pretty annoying as you can imagine. Others include a mana bug that says I don't have enough mana for a skill when my meter says full. Also, pleeeeaaassseee work on the wanted level thing. I had to spend 1000 of my precious gold because I only attempted to break a lock on a chest. I received nothing and had nearly all of frickin' Callaheim chasing me. Unrealistic to say the least. 1000 gold was a pretty large fee to have my wanted level removed when I actually stole nothing and was at an early level in the game when 1000 gold was kind of a big deal. One more thing.... I miss jumping... I LOVE jumping in an open world RPG... Just saying.
3 suggestions that, imo, are urgently necessary. 1. Change the NPC spawn times! I can kill something, loot it, walk away for 5 sec and when I turn around it'll be there again. Make it so that they spawn once every time the map loads or something. 2. Get rid of or add the option to disable getting knocked off the mount! Very annoying, and doesn't add anything to the game. 3. Fix bugs/animation glitches/other small annoyances. Climbing a ladder looks really awkward when you reach the top of it. Casting a spell while on a ladder looks really awkward. There is no animation for when you mount a horse when it is not facing the same direction as you. "out of range" or "out of mana" gets displayed after you cast a spell. You can get stuck if you have a henchman following you and you walk into a corner. Opening a chest a bunch of times in quick succession is bugged. You have to stop swimming to adjust the depth.
I'd like to be able to get experience, even 1 point from enemies 10 levels below me. Or have enemies scale according to the player's level. As it is now I feel no need to go back to areas where I don't gain XP from enemies or at least useful drops.
How about You actually optimize the game for play on an iPad. You pass off an "HD" game with iPhone size menu controls and interface. This was obviously designed for an iPhone and rushed out in time for the Christmas freeze. Shame on you.
general ipad suggestion iPad only (maybe) suggestion First, if you do make buttons bigger like some people have suggested, please make it optional. I like the buttons as they are. What DOES suck about the buttons though is placement. Please try to keep things near the thumbs. The placement of the stick and context sensitive buttons is great, but then conversations come up and i have to stretch to the middle of the screen, or the bottom right for the "bye" button, shifting the weight of the iPad. The inventory button isn't as big a deal, given that it isn't pressed often, but maybe you can get creative with it. I saw a mock up of a new "side screen style UI" earlier (I know you did too) that was actually quite good. It might be difficult to move the quick bar, but that would be pretty awesome to have everything near my thumbs. Also, please prioritize picking up loot over talking to summoned creatures or something. So tired of having to run in a big circle to get the pet away from bodies so I can loot them... Still, GREAT game so far. Glad to hear you're still working out the kinks.
I actually play with my hands on the top corners of my iPad, weird I know. I do agree though, you should be able to move the controls where you want them.
