HD Gameplay Trailer (iPad 2/First 15.Minutes of Gameplay): Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
Bought and played like 25 minutes so this is only early impressions but this seems to be an awesome package. A full game suited perfectly for iPad. We need more like this!!
Really like the vibe in this one. Could be I enjoy underwater games a lot, but this one does a great job with the atmosphere and art.
According to the developer video posted on TA front page, this is a port from PSP version but PSP is felt to be "not powerful enough", so iPad is the original target platform. (Somebody better gets us the "Lords of Elementals" here, side note) Since this is on my pending list, I have yet to tell if, like #Sworcery and World of Goo, this game is best played on iPad. (I forgot this one is iPad-only and that is why it keeps missing from the iPhone forum...silly me) The interface is so clean but I have got KotDP and RoC, it may take me a week or so before getting this.
After watching the video I instantly bought it. I love these art based games and I agree there needs to be a lot more of them on the store. I can't wait to dive into 25 hrs of beauty. -
Awesome game! Honestly this is my first post on these forums. I had to create an account because I bought this game on a whim and it is seriously blowing my mind! It's a full on console game , controls great and has an instantly engaging story. Srsly the sound and graphics are great and look awesome on the iPad. Earlier I was on slide to play and they said no good games were being released today. So I came here looking for the goods and ran into this. Really hope it doesn't get overlooked, it's really epic even half hour in. Best. 5$ I've spent in a while...
YES! An absolutely gorgeous and brilliant game, that can do the iPad justice. Have been playing the PC version for ages and can't recommend it enough.
Agreed! as told by the co-creator Alec, more improvement made in gameplay on the ipad version compare to PC release before. Even much better running on ipad 2 because the graphic speed on A5.
The game runs smoothly on the original iPad. The only feature that appears to be missing is the water ripple effect when you touch the screen on the iPad 2, but it still looks great and plays smoothly.
I took the plunge and I must say it's very refreshing to have a full, complete, amazing game for $5. Rather than paying $2 and getting an hour-long unfinished demo. Great stuff. Can't wait to play more. This and Shantae in back -to-back weeks....spoiled, we are.
I'm getting the slowly sinking feeling that we might not see this for the iPhone/iPod Touch at all...
