For anyone who has this game, it seems like it's finally been updated, and just may now be playable.
It was one of the first games in the app store, and why it took them this long to update, I can't say but at first glance it no longer seems to have frame-rate issues.

Doesn't seem to be anything new, other than frame-rate is now smooth
If you don't own it, I still wouldn't recommend it! :)

Agreed. As far as I can see, they've made a slight improvement to the framerate and that's it. It still lags like hell when there's lots of stuff on screen.
It could be awesome, but its not. Don't waste your time

  5. Yep- still crap. Slow as hell when you try and do too much still. Can't believe I wasted money on this.

I grabbed it on a free special and thought it would really be interesting (maybe like Enigmo) but just can't get into it.

The engine is fantastic, its just not a good port. For a good experience of Octave engine download OE-CAKE! for your computer.

  12. good idea on paper but bad execution. This game blows.

I really want this game but I'm not sure. I love physics engines and I'm okay with a little bit of lag I just think I'd play with the water all day and I loved OEcake.

Has anyone tried out the update? I heard they improved the frame rate but 8 bucks is steep.

Whats peoples problem with this "game"? I think its kinda fun.

Nothing mind blowing and maybe not worth the full price tag, but I think it can do some funny things, and the simulation works great

EDIT: What version should this be? Im still at version 1.0.1. and I don't see any improvement at all?

To be honest, this "game" is not worth $8. It makes for an impressive showpiece for the technology of the iPhone (or iPod Touch), but that money is much better spent buying Rolondo, Brother in Arms, Payback, or countless other games that you'll get your time out of.

I grabbed it last year when they had it for free and I'm glad I did because after playing it I couldn't see paying over $3 for what you get. Don't get me wrong, it's very impressive what they have done with the app, but after that impressiveness goes away you won't touch it again.

I'm glad I got this free because it's completely not worth $8. Fun for a while but needs more.

well i'm going to play it again, i'm so thankful i got it for $NOTHING back when it was free! I didn't think it was worth anything because of the framerate issue... but i'll give it a shot again and perhaps update my review

update: Well it's much better than the last time i played it... i really don't think it's worth $8 and i think it's naive of the devs to charge that much, considering all the other games that cost considerably less out there... AND knowing that it once was free or $1
