Bargain Bin is much better than App Sniper, it has push notifications on it's watch list to alert you of new prices on your favorite apps! the interface is much nicer, and easier to navigate.
Reviving thread from the dead... Is anyone else's AppSniper playing up today? Seems mine hasn't updated for a day or two -- was just wondering if it's just me or whether others are experiencing something similar. It had been reliable for the past couple of months after a shaky time, but not today.
I think it might be back now. I tried Bargain Bin which wasn't terrible by any means, but missed the simple style of AppSniper. I wish there was a way the folks at Manta could push you a message or something if the server is down. Oh well.
Is there any other app that comes close to app sniper? It seems the app sniper dev just doesnt care any more....
I don't think he "doesn't care"; he's had some real life issues that have interfered with his development process. Having said that, I really like [app]PandoraBox[/app], which has PUSH notifications.
What happening with AppSniper?? I have not had any problems with it since the 1.9 update back in August.
Sometimes it doesnt update for days.. sometimes the servers are down.. sometimes you cant get the info on apps... All my friends have the exact same problems so it not my iphone.
Oh... ok, maybe I just don't use it enough to notice, I only fire it up a couple of times a week to check on a handful of snipped apps.
Is pandorabox better now? I know when I tested it at release it didnt show all new releases, apps and price cuts. It was missing like 50% of the changes every day. And it didnt have my local currency which is SEK.
I'd forgotten about PandoraBox! I think it has had some updates and seemed a little cleaner and better than before, so evidently they still work on improving it. I hope it's up to date -- can't always tell -- but definitely seems to be showing new items more reliably than AppSniper these days. Shame AppSniper is not working well, especially with it being a paid-for app and PandoraBox being free.
Hopefully the devs removed it because they want to fix it. AppSniper has been very slow lately and crashing constantly.
Today it doesnt start at all I just get the splash screen and nothing happens. Crap if it doesnt come up again. Was going to move all my snipes to pandora and delete this piece of shit app
