i think that this is a problem on your end because i've had appshopper installed for over a year now and it's only 41MBs.
Believe me, I've uninstalled and reinstalled dozens of times, and it is the only apptracker which does it. The removal of the app isn't such a problem on an ipad; using the website isn't to difficult on that platform. I don't like Apple constantly changing the rules; will I have apps I've paid for (besides the ones already gone) pulled from the appstore? Back to appshopper...couldn.t it be relaunched if it was redesigned? Hell, change the ackground color. It doesn't even resemble the 6.0 appstore, for that matter. I mean, I haven't heard of Appzap or Appticker facing removal. Then again, the Appshopper app seems to basically be a webkit wrapper for the website, so a redesign would need to be more of a rewrite, I'm guessing.
If you use a pc iOS file manager like Funbox, or if you're jailbroken can just use iFile to go in and remove all the cache individually. There's another folder in there so I don't know if you can just delete the entire thing at once or not.
They better not take my appzap! Appzap has always been my preferred choice.. Way better than appshopper.. It has alot of social elements, commenting, friends, alarms, and applists/collections users can make for everyone. Bet apple doesn't want it's customers waiting for sales, they want everyone to pay full price the aholes.
I just grabbed Appzapp and and checked it out...had to delete Appshopper instantly! So much info on an App page + user comments and "likes" let you know if something is good or not by popular opinion. Thanks man.
After giving Appzapp the first looks I really like it a lot. Might even use it more so than AppShopper but keeping that one as I've many games wish listed. Thanks for the heads up!
