Congratulations on the marketing bump! Appsasia is a very generous company but I find it odd they do not often release promo codes. Promo codes would be a less expensive way to generate hype. Possible high level prizes that might be good are newer generation iPod Touch or Playstation 3. Also an interesting contest would be for participants to design a monster/character for a game. Now that you are a TA advertiser then maybe a prize could be best review quote to be featured on banner (so forum handle shows up on ad).
Appsasia can improve this site by posting the popular free code/give away topics on the main front site. This way, it will bring more people to the site and make the site more busy from incoming traffic. For possible events, Appsasia should do a every two week promo giveaways for popular apps. You can get more people involved by giving away cool prizes. It doesn't necessarily have to be xbox360, but things like iphone/ipad accessories, a handheld console like 3DS/Vita, or even win a game.
Ideas for things you would like to win: I would love to have the chance to win Nintendo 3DS or a PS Vita Things we can do to improve what we do on Toucharcade: Hold more beta tests and try to incorporate suggestions from forum members into your games. Ideas for possible events: Have some contests for name suggestions for characters or games and the best ones win money/game codes. How we can get you more involved: More beta tests!
Adding onto my previous post you guys should make a list that compiles all the previous winners and contests you have hosted. It's probably a lot of work but wouldn't it be amazing if some new person saw it and said "Wow! These people have given over $10,000 worth of stuff." It would show that you guys are indeed legit. And bragging about the amount of moneyput into these contests can't hurt right? I really think it would help more first time people be encouraged to try out your contests and such. And fOr review contests where the winner is randomly chosen, you could assign everyone a number to put in a random number generator, but the people with the best or better reviews get more than one number, increasing their chances of winning. It is fair as it still is random, but the people with more motivation to write a long detailed review will have a better chancE of beIng awarded. And for promo code giveaways please please please don't just post them so random outlets can pick them up. Make us work for them! Fun contests such as writing reviews or everyOne posing why they should get a code(like fish labs) and coming up with outrageous reasons. Or through Facebook or twitter whoever has te most shares or retweets wins something like that
* Ideas for things you would like to win # There are many Apple related things would like to win, like the Gift card, and other Apple hardware, iPod, itouch, iphone, ipad, specially the new pad. * Things we can do to improve what we do on Toucharcade # I do like the current status on Toucharcade, you can involve more contest, people always like the contest. Not only focus on the suggestion to improve, but also focus on the app related thing. Also you can set a time limited contest and inform the start time to get the lucky draw. * Ideas for possible events #Like said in previous, you can have more different contest. Time limit contest to answer some question(App related), lucky draw, favorite thing in app(not only the suggestion in app). * How we can get you more involved #Facebook and tweet both are great place to promote the app, like and share in facebook, RT the related app. Also you can involve the local top promo website in each country.
It would be a cool contest to ask forum members to design an advertisement banner. AppAsia should be ashamed that they have not helped development of many RPGs.
well we have given away promo codes before but usually use them all up when pitching them to review sites but whenever we get more I always try to give them away here also it's a shame as well about the RPG's as I'm a huge fan of them myself. I wish I could get more involved with them but nobody ever seems to ask us
We are very sorry for not announcing a winner yesterday but of course that does not mean there isn't one!: Yesterdays winner is: undeadcow! Congratulations! Today's winner is: banger1103! We hope you enjoy your price! Please keep the suggestions coming as we have five more prices to give away!
Thanks for the win, I appreciate it! I hope you guys can come up with some amusing and colorful ads... and get allroached about some RPGs. Comgratulations again on the Ta advertiser status!
Congratz for the winners. Anyway, here's an event idea... You post a blurry picture of some of your games/apps and we try to guess what it is... Then you raffle among winners. This would work better if we'd have to pm instead of commenting, because if we do the latter, everyone would copy others.
Ideas for things you would like to win: Always good with App Store credit. Any other gift cards or idevices are always cool. One of the first things that came to mind were Gelaskins ... those are pretty cool irelated items. Things we can do to improve what we do on Toucharcade: Soliciting more user feedback on WIPs. Ideas for possible events: Scoring contests or tournaments. How we can get you more involved: Beta opportunities and solicit feedback on projects.
Here's an idea for a contest not sure if it's been mentioned before how about having a contest where everyone has to use their signature on TA to promote an app putting a link and coming up with the best advertisements for that app they would have to keep it as their signature for a certain period of time to qualify this could also be done with Facebook status change your status to an advertisement for the app with a link then post it on TA as proof they would still have to keep it as their status for a certain period of time also on their twitter profile. Doing this on my phone so please forgive any typos
Got the credit; thanks again, appsasia! You guys should consider a contest for user created content for a game with a map editor. User submitted levels is the next phase in interactive gaming, right? (not going for itunes credit, just saying map editers rule)
