This might be an old story but I just saw this so thought I wanted to share this. A bit worrying that this can happen so abruptly.

Although this seems resolved what got me was this:

Brian Smith, who works on the iPhone and iPad versions of Dropbox, said the issue with Apple was resolved after "the worst game of telephone you've ever played."

So what happens if you are not as large as Dropbox and you cannot even get anyone to talk to? If someone as large as Dropbox can get banned and has a hard time getting them to talk on the phone, what does this mean for indies like us?

Apple want to encourage more devs to use iCloud services in their apps, although I agree that Dropbox is a lot more flexible and easier to work with

iCloud is a PITA to implement, but if you can manage it then dont think twice about alternatives

No idea what will happen with Dropbox support in the future, best to avoid it for now.
