Do you guys realize how awesome this stuff is going to be when OS 3.0 comes out? That means we will be able to import the library, and therefore, manipulate it.

Unless there is already a sampler that lets you manipulate audio files like Radiohead did in Everything In Its Right Place. I can't remember what they used, but it cost like $300.

iKoto was one of my first purchases, I can't believe I forgot I had it. It's great.

Just picked up Instant Beat and I'm liking it a lot. I haven't had much luck with drum apps but I'm finally happy with one. Not sure what the 1 star rating was about ..... I often wonder about those on quality 5 star apps ..... from another competitive developer maybe?

I LOVE Smule's Ocarina, it is so fun to play, and listen to others play, you can even go to their ocarina website and learn to play new songs.

Also Smule's Leaf Tombone isnt that bad, hopefully Smule steps it up some more and comes out with some more awesome apps for us musicians.

Maybe i missed it somewhere through this long thread, but one thing that is cool about iDrum is that you can share kits between iDrum for the iDevice with iDrum for the Mac, which is seriously sweet.

The new app iComposer looks interesting. It looks like the only way to input music notes is by singing them. I wonder if it is compatible with the 1Gen iPod Touch

    Beatmaker Q

    Hi,

I play shakuhachi, and use some basic recording software on my iPhone to record my practice sessions all the time. It doesn't sound very good, but it's just for reference.

With Beatmaker, can I record myself playing and then add effects, especially some echo?

    Thanks!

WOW, great find. That looks incredibly useful.

The description says it has a score editor that uses touch controls. It'd be great if you can enter notes that way. It'd be an instant buy then. I've been waiting for a score editor ever since I got my iPhone.

I really want to see a review or a video first. The interface is kind of important with something like this. Although, if the dev is smart enough to make note recognition software, I'm sure he can make a decent interface.

I sent an email to the developer yesterday to see if he could provide some details on his product. I have yet to hear back from him. I will post anything that I learn back to this thread.

Please let me know if he answers you. I have read some reviews in itunes and it seems that it is a little difficult to use.

Hi I am the developer of iComposer and I havn't received email from you.
I released the first version in a little bit of rush, so iComposer doesn't have good mannual for now, and iComposer is more complicated than normal iPhone Apps, so it is a little difficult to master it for non-professional users.

My suggestion is to wait one more week, a minor update with quick help will be on the App Store. Or you can wait for reduced $0.99 versions and free trial, hopefully they will be released in 2 weeks.

BTW, iComposer supported blog is http://iComposer.SoundPlayground.com

    Thanks!

Thanks for chiming in. I'm really looking forward to the lite version. This looks like it could be a great app.

I sent the email to your account at [email protected], which is the account you registered as the owner of your domain. I have been unable to access your website. I don't know if anyone else here has been experiencing that problem.

    Hi,

You app is very interesting to me. I just want to make sure that I understand what your app is. Is this like a pocket version Finale or Sibelius. If yes, is there or will be a way to export? If I understood correctly, there are two way to input notes. It would be very nice to have a video too.
    Thanks

    Thank you for your interest,

Yes, but it is not as powerful as Sibelius, and you have to spend some time on practicing grabbing the note with your finger tips, it is a software on mobile device after all. The way to export is existed but it is a little tricky, you need to use other software on PC to copy those files from iPhone to PC. I have scheduled to set a web server for exporting files in next major version. You can refer to http://icomposer.wordpress.com/2009/05/28/how-to-copy-exported-files-to-pc-icomposer/ for more exporting stuff. :)

    MusicPad - my new app

    Hi everybody,

On 28th of May I published my application "MusicPad" on AppStore.

A short description: you can type what chord you want to play, choosing the root note, the chord type and (if desidered) up to 3 alterations (b2, #9, #11, ...) and, after having press "play", you will listen the chord with the actual selected sound (I put 10 high quality sounds to choose).

I am a guitarist, and I wanted an application where I can create music backgrounds for my live performances, to introduce some songs.
I am using it also to "ear-training", because I can listen immediately the chords that I have to recognize.

There is a youtube demo (not very professional, but it is the best I can do now):
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-t0q3NzQag

    and a support page :
    http://web.me.com/emilio.castorina/Development/MusicPad/MusicPad.html

I wait for some suggestions, reviews, bad words...

Thank you very much for your attention
