AD 480 reverb effect unit (with full Audiobus integration) out. Pro version priced at 20 bucks, basic version 5 bucks and a lite free version to try out a few presets. Sounds good to me, and seems to have lots of config possibilities (not just for the reverb engine, but audio, midi etc). And it's universal.

Super Manetron adds Audiobus, 50% off sale!

I can only hope C3B3 gets AB support next, it's a great iOS organ.

App info is currently processing and/or the app is not yet fully available for sale on the US App Store.

I'm a sucker for all mellotron sounds. Dnt know much about the machine itself tho, but seems like sampling without looping (cutting down the size etc) just to make it authentic is a bit weird.

    ------------------

AUFX:Space reverb unit effect by Kymatica (Liljedahl), first in a new series of audio effect units. Looks and sounds good to me. And the dev has a great track record with apps like Audioshare, Yellofier, Bitwiz synth, Gestrument, Nordbeat etc. it's priced at $3.99, seems very reasonable.. https://itunes.apple.com/app/id665650685?mt=8

The actual mellotrons only had 8 second tapes, if they looped, that would be unrealistic. This app also lets you turn on/off, set volume of machine sounds which are a nice touch.

Snagging AUFX right now - all of Jonatan's apps are great! Reverbs are fun to play with: some day I will be able to afford a Memory Toy/Boy/Man and oscillate the hours away...

Yea no I knew that (from the app info), but putting that limitation into a modern app doesn't make sense to me, let the user decide with a simple ADSR or loop on/off. Other things like the mechanical sounds/noise are always cool tho, wether it's a mellotron or something else. Anyway, that thing has been sampled a gazillion times so there's no shortage of mellotron sounds out there. :)

Yeah, if anyone wants easy mellotron sounds, there's a bunch ready to go in ThumbJam (and they loop!)

    Mallets

Jason Martineau has recently updated his best-selling app "Mallets" that was featured by the jamband "moe." during their MacWorld 2012 performance.

Mallets is the only app on the App Store that features 3 instruments in one: vibraphone, marimba, and xylophone. With high quality samples and responsiveness, you can play glissandos, chords, melodies, and anything you can do with the real instruments.

    iTunes link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mallets/id381394992

    Enjoy!:)

I finally got Midimorphosis.. Pretty good. I think it's more accurate than magic stave and the midi out is very useful!

iMPC for iPhone out. Intro price for the first 2 weeks is $2.99 (lots of great content so worth it for the sounds alone). https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/impc-for-iphone/id677356259?mt=8

Dunno why they don't mention Audiobus tho, all the other big(ger) boys has it implemented so..

Edit: Checked it against the iPad version and the "classic Akai" kits aren't included in the iPhone version.

AudioReverb by VirSyn out (universal, 10 bucks). That's the third really pro reverb effect unit for iOS being released within a couple of weeks. AD480, AuFX: Space and now this one. What looks interesting to me is that this one uses both impulse response technology and algorithmic reverb, not just algorithm based reverb like the other two. Anyway, tempting but already have AUFX which is awesome, and I got a convolution reverb unit in Auria for IRs. Man if I weren't such a app slut :(....I'd be rich.

Anyone using Waldorf Nave? I've updated my bank with around 70 new presets (around 110 total). Some audio demos and dl links here (and links to a lot of other sites and people sharing Nave presets): http://forum.audiob.us/discussion/1369/preset-sharing-waldorf-nave

Or just use these direct links:

    Nave file: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10039217/NavePresets/ChrisG.navebank

Rar File (if the above donĀ“t work): https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10039217/NavePresets/ChrisG.rar

(importing banks via iTunes filesharing seems to crash the current version of Nave v.1.0, just delete the file again if that happens and download/import it on your iDevice and use "open in...")

Unlike the factory presets that are mostly static for some reason, most presets here make use of the various modulation options available like the mod wheel, xy pad and also the xy key/note sliding (to pitch bend a guitar, or add movement to a pad and so on), remember that you can use the whole iPad screen while holding a key/note.

Some audio demos on my soundcloud below..

The next effect in the AUFX series by Kymatica is out, AUFX: Dub. Really really versatile delay/echo unit that does your typical delays but also gritty and filtered dubs and other things you can come up with using all the parameters. $3.99 universal. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/aufx-dub/id678982701?mt=8

Yep I jumped on it yesterday. As a midi controller it's like a less advanced version of Polychord in terms of the nr of chords/scales available on screen. Good and bad I guess, the interface is less cluttered in Chordion obviously. The synth engine in Chordion is definitely better then the one in Polychord, although both are really basic. And the arp is more evolved in Chordion. I haven't really dug into the app yet, gonna see if I get the time later tonight, seems like a lot of fun with the sharing setups/presets with other users in-app. One minus tho would be the file size, I know the drums are sample based but that's not whats taking up all that space, would be great if they could get rid of whatever overhead there is. And universal would be really great too... Anyway, at $0.99 it's a really good deal.

Universal kept me from buying it earlier - but now that I've got an iPad4 at work (that somehow follows me home at night) and the price, I couldn't resist. It's pretty good - I was showing our 4.5 y/o how to make music with it - got some nice trippy vibes going with this routing through AUFX: Space via AudioBus...

And yes, the arpeggios were better than I expected - very easy to set up and play with, though my dream would be Arpeggionome MIDI root key response from the pads here and the keyboard going to another app. At first glance it looked like the chord/keys data are sent on the same channel only, though I might be wrong. Makes me appreciate guitarism with it's awesome multi-MIDI out, though I'd rather have Chordion's UI.

Also: iMINI is on sale for $6.99 if you don't have it already. ;)

SeekBeat, a new synth drum machine from the TweakyBeat dev. I really really like this one, sounds great and is capable of very diverse sounds. It's a 8 voice, 2 osc per voice synth. It does support Audiobus although it's not mentioned in the app info. Really recommended if you're looking for a good synth drum machine (current price is $2.99).

Steinberg will have a sale on all their iOS products starting September 6th to September 11th. Cubasis which is $50 will probably drop at least 50%, and both LoopMash apps something similar. I'm just guessing here tho since they only announced a big sale but not the sale prices yet. But going by basically all other big (and small) music companies sales, I'd be surprised if Steingberg skimped out on the sale
