thank you ! i did not have the time to insert ivoxel , a very good vocoder , but i use it too in this song
Brilliant! Sunrizer is excellent, especially its arpeggio. And smart instruments in Garage*Band.. so fun and so easy to make great tunes with! With Animoog that produces great samples. Awesome work. BTW who's the mermaid?
ahahah , she's my lover , we are a french duo we make electro love songs 100% with ipad (and a sequencer of course)
a few months ago Apple sent me a survey about GarageBand for iOS, So I thought "Hey cool, there will be an update.. sometime in the future".. Does anyone have any information or scoops as to if or when there will be a new GarageBand update?
Never heard about a survey. But I really hope they continue to develop it. Better mixer and fx handling, per track EQ and a proper multi sampler would be great. Awesome. Make sure to post more stuff! EDIT: Btw update with audio copy paste etc out for both Figure and PPG Wavegenerator today.
The background stuff should work on iPhone 4. It's just another stupid Apple force-upgrade-hardware thing. It's not like GarageBand uses that high quality algorithms..
No I meant iPhone 4 is powerful enough to handle background audio with GB. But Apple put in an artificial limit.
i need trumpets and choirs Hi guys , do you know some good synth apps with (very) realistic Trumpets and Choir sounds ? thank you
Jam Player - Time and Pitch Audio Player by Positive Grid LLC is FREE App info is currently processing and/or the app is not yet fully available for sale on the US App Store.
Beatsurfing $0.99 Looks interesting, but I haven't done much MIDI controlling with 'our daughter's' iPad... App info is currently processing and/or the app is not yet fully available for sale on the US App Store.
you can open GarageBand for iOS documents in Logic on OS X (Apple's "Pro" DAW, which GarageBand is based on). it sounds exactly the same. therefore one could conclude that it's the same engine, so I would have to disagree with that statement about the quality. Logic is known in the industry for some of the best sounding plugins. Anyway, everyone should check out Brian Eno's new app! http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/scape/id506703636?mt=8
I was talking more about the effects (ie reverb), it's not exactly a HQ convolution reverb unit. I don't know if it's fair to compare Logic a full blown pro DAW to GarageBand for iOS tho. But either way GB for iOS freezes tracks automatically to free up the CPU, so bg audio should be available atleast on the iPhone 4. I'm curious about Scape, does it have any audio recording copy/paste? Does it only do random soundscapes/pad-ish stuff or do can you add more controlled melodic elements to a scape? Btw, bought beatsurfing since it does core/virtual midi. Looks like a fun way to make some noise.
Oh right.. yeah to me the reverb sounds more like the PlatinumVerb or one of the older Logic reverbs - not Space Designer (not sure if desktop GarageBand has Space Designer anyway). Scape is a lot of fun to play with. I don't initially see any way to record/copy the audio, so that is slightly disappointing. It is not random though - you are given a palette of tools to place in a "canvas" of sorts. These objects are abstract in nature and it's up to you to figure out what they do. It reveals more and more objects/moods/backgrounds as you use the app, so it's not overwhelming at first, which is a cool feature. There is a randomize function, but you can also build your own. You can then save presets and make playlists. When you are in Playlist mode, it plays each one for a few minutes and then moves onto the next one, where it fades in each element over time so there is a bit of musical progression. Also includes some built-in presets from Eno, including an "album" of sorts. Overall pretty cool, and definitely better than Bloom, so if you liked that this is a no-brainer.
