Books for Day 3. Ireland and the UK get The Ice Princess by Camilla Lackberg. Germany gets Kälteschlaf by Arnaldur Indridason.
Austria, Switzerland, Germany: A crime fiction book from Iceland. Die other books of this autor cost from €5.99 up to €15.99 in Apple's store. For iOS and OS X. Seems to be a nice gift. Thanks. Maybe this link works in your country if you're interested (please confirm): https://itunes.apple.com/book/kalteschlaf/id451454820?mt=11 Wikipedia: Arnaldur Indriðason. He was awarded with the Glasnyckel for Grafarþögn and with Blóðdropinn for Harðskafi (= the original name of Kälteschlaf which means Hypothermia in English what would be a good name for a game imho). (Sounds a bit like the blonde one in the Golden Girls.)
I think emojis would be more her style If only it was Kim Kardashian's xxx video... That's already free and just annoying.
I'm in Singapore and since we don't have any access to the ibookstore (boo!), we're not getting any free books either (boo!). Instead, we've got an app: Halftone 2 - Comic Book Creator by Juicy Bits. So basically apple is telling us to make our own books instead. Boooooo! Not that I'm actually complaining...
PH is also getting Halftone 2 as the day-3 giveaway, which is free on the appstore since Dec 21 anyway... Which is kinda stupid. Anyways, complaining aside, it seems Apple is using the app to make people aware of the good apps that are currently free, and not really giving out paid apps for free.
The app description is misleading and misrepresents what Apple is actually offering: " Each day's gift will only be available for 24 hours, so download the free app to make sure you dont miss out." I don't really care; just saying..
Deleted this, because I honestly don't see us getting anything decent. Films, tv programmes and books really don't interest me tbh.
Some Swedish crime novel here. Who knows, might be good. Oh wait, it's Swedish...I did get that travel guide from the US iBook store tho, looks like a fun read, and well put together book. And it's priced at 6-7 bucks in my local iBook store, so thank you Apple.
