Your guess is as good as mine, but it's been a thread of innuendo, puns, and immaturity. Yeah, it's been good.
They're gonna have to disguise the app somehow. I can see a chick swiping through my screen... "Kandy Kane, what is that?" "It's... uh, a picture of the candy." *swipes away ipod* and really, you guys make it seem like some sort of taboo Going back to other possibilites, the games that have a lot of blood and gore would probably just be labeled as Teen. Mature content is stuff that contains sex, alcohol, and drugs. I can't imagine Apple going that far.
It's an American thing. If you look at how other countries treat things like sex and alcohol, the way American society handles them is downright laughable. Thank god we're finally putting an end to funding of abstinence education.
I'm American, I went through another one of those "sex talks" a couple weeks back. I'm a freshman for god's sake. If I haven't gotten the message by now, I never will. Two simple that'll replace a total stranger coming in and talking to me about my genitalia: 1) For guys: show them a picture of someone with herpes. And I don't mean a censored picture. It scares the c*** out of them. 2) For chicks: show them a picture of someone giving birth. Yeah, 'nuf said.
This may come (pun intended) as a major blow (pun unintended!) to you but the only thing a ten yr old can produce is not white, it's yellow.
Oh wow. That would scare the sh!t out of me. Lol. Yea, that's true. Plus, what kind of 10 year old does that? Lol. Daniel. Tsk tsk hint* no There isn't one. Maybe one pumped up on testosterone since birth.
Why stop there. What about whole porn spin off's of iDevice games. Just think: 'Hero of Spirter', 'Assassin's Crack', 'Soldier Pants' 'Pocket Spanks'..... EDIT: Needless to say some games such as Rogue Touch or iShoot could keep their original title
I think it's a good move. In another thread I mentioned how I feel that if Apple allowed mature content in their games, it would allow them to rise above what say, Nintendo allows on their systems and potentially tap into an even larger market. At the very least, it will give developers greater creative freedom and in the end, this benefits us as consumers. I would also like to mention that 'mature' and 'adult' don't necessarily refer to sexual content. This also means hard-core violence, gore, intense horror themes and so on. Basically everything you wouldn't want your 12-year-old to see.
