seems like it's going for some hundreds of dollars then. my chances of getting one are still slim maybe I can just wait for future generation models
well my parents look into buying laptops for high school for my brothers and I, so I might save up for this! Sounds pretty bad a$$. but iSlate...sounds like something you put on your kitchen counters... haha but I hope we can jailbreak it
I'm debating on whether to stand in line to get mine... I'm as excited for this as i was for the "it" (segway scooter) of course it didn't actually hover and was only a scooter. I'd rather have this be like a larger version of an iPhone though, not a smaller version of a laptop. $1000 is pricey too. I hope its less than that.
Lol imagine ravensword on this also hope for external game controlers that plug into to side of this, or maybe connect via Bluetooth
Why limit it in that way? That'd mean it's not good for much besides running apps, and it wouldn't have the phone functions so it'd basically be a giant iPod Touch. If you have to have something that's too big to fit in your pocket you might as well give it more features. I want a perfect fusion of iPhone and Macbook, something I can use to play App Store games yet also do basic computer tasks on.
iTouch: (2) iPhone: (In May, when I can upgrade phones) iMac vs. iSlate. I have neither. But, for my birthday, I will choose between them. So, seeing if the iSlate, is an OS, or a giant iTouch, will make my decision. If it does both, I will go for that. If it's an OS, I will also probably go for that. But, if it is just a giant iTouch, then I don't have a need for it.
well even if it is a giant iTouch, theres things you can do to it... and MidianGTX, where would you like your phone portion of that?
Yes, it would be nice. I saw "Touchgrind" on the iSlate or something like it on the home page. It would be very cool, but it would lack the smallness in size, and it is very overpriced, if it is 100 dollars.
But still, to big for an iTouch. It would be kind of pointless, especially if it does cost 100 dollars!
I think if the "tablet" is real, it would cost at least 3 times the amount of an iPhone/iTouch. I also think that there would be much less games on the tablet, it would be more of a touch-screen computer.
You can bank on it having the same typical Apple shiny, glossy back that scratches if you look at it cross eyed, thus forcing you to purchase cases, covers, shields, etc. No doubt this will set you back another 50 clams if a regular iPhone case is an average $30 and is much smaller.
But at least the screen wont be plastic. For some reason I find a lot of other companies using plastic touchscreens and they are really bad.
