No way... Seriously? lol. Regarding the iPad itself, I'm watching the live coverage right now. It looks nice. If people can hold books all day, holding an iPad shouldn't be that much different. The iBooks store looks very promising.
A lot cheaper than I was expecting. I don't expect this to fail, but I can't imagine it'll take off the way the iPhone did.
Funniest one because I can actually hear Harrison Ford's monotone surliness saying "Goddamn it, I can't figure this damn thing out!"
WTF? You can get a keyboard dock and use it like some kinda retarded computer. That's pretty insane (not quite sure if it's a good idea or not).
So it's $500 + the same $30 a month for AT&T service as the iPhone. Isn't it logical to assume that since Apple is now producing their own 1GHz chips, the Nexus One is 1GHz and they always announce a new iPhone in June that the next generation iPhone will be running roughly the same hardware subsidized by AT&T for nearly half the price in less then six months?
The iPad is definitely not a complete failure. It looks bad, but it's sexy on the inside. The iTunes looks badass, the interface is amazing (from a live video stream) and it looks super responsive. Gaming on this would be hectic, but hopefully amazing.
From engadget: Now...I don't know if the folks at engadget are referring to Apple not showing any multitasking, or there not being any multitasking capability on the iPad at all. If it's the latter, then EPIC FAIL.
You must soft in the head. Why would you game on this clumsy device. Every thing else looks ok. I don't think it even has mutitasking.
I think the event is over. I wonder if my skeptical views on this thing will change when people say it feels great, not clumsy.
I don't get the complaints about it looking "clumsy." It's not any more clumsy than holding a book. There are a lot of uses for an iPod touch with a bigger screen - movies, reading, drawing, etc. Though, I must admit, it is kind of funny how "iTampon" has become a trending topic on Twitter. Lol.
