As we all know Apple has dropped their prices on the App Store in Australia, Sweden, Korea and China. With a slight price increase in the UK.

But the question is will they be dropping the prices for it's products. Considering the AU Dollar is the same if not better than the US Dollar why are we still paying more for our products?

Well according to many resources the prices will drop tomorrow on Mac's. This apparently to be coming due to a new Macbook being released.

How much exactly? By about $100-$200 dollars according to sites like Time, MacRumours, 9to5 etc.

Hopefully there is some truth in this.

So i would like to compare the prices of Apple's products with the US price and AU price to prove my point. As you can see the Macbook in AU is the same price as the Macbook Pro, iMac and Air in US :confused:

    [IMG]Macbook US: $999 AU: $1199
    [IMG]Macbook Pro, 13* US: $1199 AU: $1399 15* US: $1799 AU: $2099 17* US: $2499 AU: $2899
    [IMG]Macbook Air, 11* US: $999 AU: $1199 13* US: $1299 AU: $1599
    [IMG]Mac Mini US: $699 AU: $799
    [IMG]iMac, 21.5* US: $1199 AU: $1399 27* US: $1699 AU: $1949

So if they are on about changing the price of Mac's, What about their iPads and iPods? Also what about accessory's can they change price too?

Guess we will find out in the next few days. What do you guys think? Also share you opinion on the probability of a new Macbook :p

All of Apple's products are hand assembled by a bunch of hippies on a California hillside (it's the one they shot that Coke commercial at in the '70s). Once each product is assembled and boxed it's shoved directly into a kangaroo's pouch then the kangaroo hops down to an airfield and aboard a plane flown by a koala. Once the plane lands each kangaroo hand delivers your Mac directly to Paul Hogan who inspects the unit for possible defects before sticking it on the back of a crocodile for delivery to your local store. That is why Apple products are so expensive, just insert the appropriate stereotypes for each country and it becomes obvious.

Too bad they're not expensive then; the above post was a great story though.

    Trolololol.

What you are forgetting is that usually they are delivered in Shipment in containers. From those containers they are sent to shops and houses. So the expense of shipping would at most be worth $50 per person. Not the current $100 $200

What would this mean for the UK? We've always paid more for most Apple hardware anyway, raising the price again could be a disaster.
