^Dont see the issue. Apple are very private about upcoming products and thats probably one reason why they check peoples bags etc

Plus there might be quite a few items which are stolen/missing so thats another reason why they would carry out those checks.

Bags are checked for employees who work at an airport etc. If you dont like it find another job !

This really sounds like a lot of whining to me. I thought it was a joke when they said "5 to 10 minutes" like it's some big deal, whoopty doo. "Apple doesn't trust me and is hurting my ego by checking my bag" ha...

Obviously there has to be a reason why the security procedures had to be implemented.

The authorities should rather look into sweatshops where the product is made.

I've worked in an Apple Store before and honestly I don't see why the bag check complaints, I mean, I've been there and c'mon I don't see why they are saying that they are treated as criminals, that kind of security measures are pretty much in every job were you can take something valuable out (documents, devices and that kind of stuff) and the only valid point I see in the article is when one of the employees told that there were products obstructing the emergency exit, now that's a real problem in case of a fire.
BTW, I worked there for like 6 months a few years back, so I don't know if the policies have changed that much to now look like 1984

Part of me thinks what you'd be doing hiring people you don't trust, another part of wonders if they realise they're not doing a great deal for employee loyalty potentially contributing to what they're effectively worried about.

Still, at the end of the day Apple has bigger issues it should be pulled up on.
