I know, right? I got a new iPod a few months ago, thinking those iPod Touch 4th gen leaks were fake. :\ I mostly want the new iPod for the camera(s) and the retina display. I'm also hoping it has that sleek design of the iPhone 4.
In my opinion, retina display, gyroscope and A4 are definite since the iPhone 4 has those things. I don't think Apple will let the iPod Touch be underpowered compared to the iPhone 4. And Apple has said that they will sell 10 million FaceTime devices by the end of the year and Apple has added email support for FaceTime. So I'm pretty positive that the iPod Touch 4G will have FaceTime and a built-in mic since Apple can't expect us to use their headset.
Why did you get it very recently then? Everyone around knows that the iPod touch is refreshed in Sept.
hugh... if apple kicks the new touch (this is even faster to write ) out with retina display and A4 and they get this thing in the 8GB sector for approx. 200. Damn I will become weak and order one What do you think regarding the pricing. 200 realistic? They got cheaper and cheaper, OR is it like the 3G update that there is no 4G except you get at least the 32GB version or so
they'll probably drop the 8 gb model and have 16, 32, and 64. 16 will probably be 200, 32 @$230 maybe, 64 $320 or something.
yeah I read about the drop of the 8GB model minutes ago. I hope your pricing is right, then I will get one, but I think I will not spend more than 200 for the entry-device (16GB). 16GB makes ALOT of sense since the apps and stuff grew so fast that I have to fight for my 2GB free storage on my iDevice
As for new design, as moch as I would love to see it updates, leaked pictures of the new iTouch p) show actually a very similar design to what we already have. It's funny how you put front-facing camera at 99% but rear facing at 60%??
I just found these pictures of leaked iPod cases. The tops one are supposedly for the new nano, and the bottom for the new touches.
