According to Pocket gamer the Apple event is set for Sept 1. Details are sparse, but everyone is guessing that they will showcase the new ipod touch's. However I wondering if this is finally when more details (or perhaps even a release ) of the Apple Game Center. I don't know about other people on here but I'm really looking forward to it and the features it will offer. they will probably a) unveil new iTouches b) new iTV or whatever they're calling it c) new version of iLife d) iOS 4 for iPad maybe
Probably not Game Center. Given that the invite for the event features a guitar with an Apple-shaped hole, I'd guess hat it's something to do with a cloud-based music service (and maybe that rumoured new iPod Touch)...

I'm gettin the new one pronto. No matter what. I'd be pretty upset if it didn't come with Retina Display...hopefully it also has a rear facing camera...

Getting one only if the new touch will be 128gb (unlikely because the iPhone didn't get the 64gb capacity bump). The rest of the rumored features doesn't carry weight for me because I already got the iPhone 4.

I think Retina display should be about 80% not 99% There hasnt been much news/statements that have said that there will be a retina display. Gyroscope 75% Front facing camera/Facetime: 99% Rear facing: 60% A4 Processor: 80% Built in Mic: 70% New design: 85%
I think retina is pretty much a given, they wouldn't leave iPod Touch owners in the dust when it comes to the gaming experience, as so many people buy them purely for App Store gaming and nothing else.
