I thought the keynote was on 7th September, not the 1st. Anyway, the sooner the better, I'm hoping to upgrade my 2nd gen iPod touch.
Wicked. Always wanted an official live stream! Edit: Does anyone know what time this is in England? I'm thinking 5pm?
I'm hoping they throw in an "iOS 4.0 for iPad is now available for download" comment in there somewhere. I have zero room on my iPad...the need for folders is killing us. Can't wait for the live streaming.

ill be watching from en gadget. http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/31/apples-fall-event-is-tomorrow-and-well-be-there-live/ ( just turn on auto refresh and you can read it live, i did it to the last one.. works well.. ) if you want a bitter point of view of this cruise over to: http://gizmodo.com/5626542/apple-ipod-and-music-meta+liveblog-tomorrow?skyline=true&s=i they are black listed to apple events.. so they are going to be covering the event by monitoring live blogs.. odd!!! talk about second hand information lol chris.
Although I am a bit worried about the Live Blog. I call dibs on it crashing within the first 10 minutes!
I wont underestimate Apple's servers here. The iPhone Activation troubles on day one was a lil different if thats why you think it'll crash. That required not just data streaming but financial transactions and activations from AT&T's servers. This on the other hand is simple data transfer which doesnt have the CC, AT&T bottlenecks. But ya, I still wont be surprised if the servers crash. Lots of us have planned to watch it live. Might just cross apple's expectations. Keeping my fingers crossed that it works for me atleast even if it crashes for others
I wish this would take place on a weekend or something. I hate being at work when things like this are going on. Bleh. It'll be quite a test that's for sure.
Won't be following the blog. Bored of all the Apple shiz. Hope the outcome is good for you guys following though.
I, like a lot of 2nd Gen iPod touchers, am pretty much just looking forward to the new iPod touch. That is all.
Hmm so you know what just hit me regarding this live streaming thing, what if this was all part of a new iTunes feature for streaming movies and TV shows? Looking at the rumors about the new 99¢ TV rentals, perhaps those are just streamed. Steve is big on the wow-factor in his demos, and I can't think of a much better way to boast about your video streaming service than saying something like "And today we're announcing iTunes streaming where you can do (whatever it does). This will be enabled today in a new iTunes update, and currently $n people are using parts of it it right now to stream this press conference."
