I previously owned Pool Star with Earl Strickland by I-play, and when I got a new iPod, it wasn't there, and I just went to redownload it. But for some stupid reason it didn't ask the usual "you have already purchased this app" stuff and when straight to downloading! I checked my account, and I now have $.63 left D= Is there a way to contact Apple about this? (it's only a buck, but think of all the other great things I could have gotten for it =P) Thanks.
Go to your account in itunes. Then, history, report a problem and choose "buy inadvertently". You'll be able to write them a message. They'll answer you in 3 to 4 days.
Hi Batty I had that problem when I re-downloaded Io. Chillingo passed it off to Clickgamer and, because the publisher had changed, to the system, it was as if I had not bought it before (even though, in actuality, I had.) I went into my purchase history and clicked the link to report the error. I got this reply: What he is saying doesn't make sense to me because I didn't mistakenly purchase anything. The App Store mistakenly charged me twice for the same item. Sounds like a cookie cutter response to me. But that whole episode is just another reason Zwilnik's recent comment struck me as inappropriate: (Oh snap! Take that, Mobigame.) Anyhoo, to make a long story short; you will get a refund if you report the problem.
Ah thanks to both of you. One time exception? That's idiotic, they act like it's your fault when their system messes up?
That's very idiotic! You have to say it is your fault and not theirs. I have tried other options and itunes sends me to troubleshooting without getting my money back.
I heard that with 3.0 if you redownload apps from your device you'll be charged again. In the beta at least, did Apple get rid of that then?
Um, I've got a problem. When I click report a problem, it just brings me to the top of the purchase history, and the button disappears EDIT: Nevermind, didn't realize you report the app itself
Yeah, but that was only effective with Wi-Fi purchases to prevent account sharers from paying for a game once but downloading it onto multiple devices. They did get rid of it.
Okay, a while back I contacted Apple, and they refunded me. But I still have the app. Apparently there's two pool star games: Steve (Forget Last name), and Earl Strickland. So I redownloaded the wrong app, but I still have it, even after a refund. Does this mean I can refund things, and keep the app!?
