According to MacRumors and CultOfMac, developers can choose "Explicit" as a new category in the App Store. Edit: Category was removed. Thanks to the mod who changed the title.
Sounds like a good choice to me! Keep the pr0ns in the bucket where it's available, but easy to block if parents choose to.
It would make sense from a business perspective, and we all know Apple likes money. http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/patterson/65763/report-apple-may-be-prepping-explicit-section-of-the-app-store/ In the scheme of things, I still don't get the fascination with stuff like this on a mobile device but to each his or her own. Just remember to use the Purel before and after.
"Restricting access to explicit content in the iTunes Store You can restrict access to explicit content in the iTunes Store. To change access settings, you must be an administrator of your computer." The above excerpt was grabbed from the help menu in iTunes. As a parent myself I appreciate this idea of having defined categories. Like Big Albie, I don't get why you need to have the boob apps on the phone/touch but then again I have a hard time remembering puberty since it was so long ago.
Me being a 26 year old male, I WANT BOUNCING BOOBS! Who wouldn't? No matter how old you are... In fact even my dad thought it was hilarious! APPLE WE WANT BOOBS!!!
And it is gone! http://gizmodo.com/5479497/apple-removes-explicit-option-from-itunes Who really cares anyway, unless it's like that IUGO game.
How about they just come up with a more family friendly word besides "explicit"? Here are few from my disturbed mind: Visual Delights Asthma Attack Palpitative Exploits Organic Trepidations Droolers Wowweee! Friction Chapstick
