It won't be a GTA clone, it will be and original iPhone GTA! I bet! And the video is definetly pre-rendered, but a nice one. EDIT: should read the whole thread before guessing haha
you dont know what a 3gs is capable of because the hardwares barely been tested. Before the real racing video im sure you woulda said you cant get 40 cars on the 3gs as well
Er...? A PC can't handle that graphics that good, HOW could a 3G S even if has 4x the power of the 3G?
I've talked to some developers who in their tests with the 3GS feel confident it can run original XBOX-level graphics quality games. :O
Seriously? All this talk back and forth of what the phone can do or not do is silly. We all know it cannot reasonably produce graphics of that quality, as another person said, there aren't many games on ANY platform that can. If any at all. (That's when you get into arguments about lighting and textures and so on) To suggest that a phone can produce the quality of a prerendered shot, is ludicrous. Real Racing looks damn good. It does not look even half as good as that rendered trailer we all just watched. Stop talking about THAT and start talking about Gameloft's new game here... Someone in comments showed the registration, registered by them. Also, bears a striking similarity to their style in the Let's Golf! trailer and its prerenderedness. (Are we going to argue THAT wasn't prerendered?)
I think i'll stick with the other two if this is yet another GTA clone, i don't think this one will be as good as the other two for some reason, unless they tempt me with new weapons.
ur ignorant too I am qualified to say what i said. All i said is that we are ignorant to what the 3G S can do so we should remain silent till we see. I am very qualifeid to say that because it takes no qualification to say we don't know what it can do yet. I do own a iphone 3G S also.
I can definitely say that is not in-game graphics. You can tell in some parts that it is ray-traced(like reflection on door they kick open).
top down gta top down gta is what it's probably going to be, you can even see a bit of that in part of the trailer. the cut-scenes look pre-rendered and while it may be impressive to look at, hardly make for a good game.

could just be car jack streets 2 as for the city skyline siloutte being GTA-specific, a quick glance at the Car Jack Streets webpage shows an almost similar skyline/effect. in fact, it is what came to mind when i first saw the teaser video.
It's an MMO I checked out the cartel beta site that someone said was doing beta testing on. then i went to the profile of the developer and saw he had a twitter. i read his tweets and he said he was looking forward to some beta testers for his mmo. then his latest tweet was a comment about how great the promo video looked.
