Has anybody else been experiencing update problems? Like whenever I open the app store on my ipod touch, 12 updates show up that I already have Also when I download updates and sync them into my ipod, the update hasn't been showing up. Are there any solutions to this? Thanks
yeah im not jailbroken either and it happens all the time. Its really annoying but im glad to hear that im not the only one with the problem.
Aaah this has been happening to me too!!! And it pisses me off b/c I'm anticipating updates for a lot of apps. I was just wondering if anybody else has been having this problem. My iPod is not jailbroken btw.
I think it's a temporary problem on iTunes' end. I've had it happen on and off over the past few days. Some months ago I had a few days of the same--and the problem went away again on its own. The main thing I notice lately is sometimes seeing iTunes (or the phone) report that there are new updates--when in fact it's listing stuff I already updated. That doesn't mean the update didn't transfer, though. I just reload the updates listi or relaunch the store, and more often than not, the list corrects itself. (Either showing no updates, or only TRULY new ones.)
another thing with me is itunes does not post updates i had to reinstall the arcade bowling update 4 days after the update....4 DAYS!!!
yah me too in addition to that problem, my itunes library file gets purged..like..when i open itunes all my applications and songs are gone, i need to manually rar those files so i dont loose them! and i have these crap loads of temp files building up too..they really need to adress these issues in next update..i htink it has to do with vista or something
Funny I was just about to start a thread on this... Been happening a lot lately to me, 2g iPhone non-jailbroke. It used to do it every now and then like maybe once a month, but the last few days it has been almost every time I check the appstore there is updates showing that I did almost a month ago or so.... It should fix on it's own hopefully....
there is one way to possibly reduce this problem thats known. Having apps from other accounts/computers causes this more than normal so if u got any u gotta either buy them urselves to help cut down on the bug or live with it.
Having same problem on 2g touch. Updates are done and 10 minutes later it says I have more updates. But they are all the ones that are done. Or the appstore icon shows 24 updates and I go to update and it says apps up to date.
oh thank god im not the only one with this issue. i thought i did something wrong! its annoying, after i update, it says i have double the updates including the ones i just downloaded to update!!! aahhhhhhhhhhhhh
Having a little different problem. My son received the message that various updates for his apps on the iPod Touch were available. He clicked on them to update and during the update the downloads froze while still downloading. Now he cannot open these particular apps (12) nor can he delete them. It simply shows that it is still downloading - only problem it has been over 24 hrs. and download is frozen. Any suggestions? What is Apple's phone number for help with this also? Thanks.
If you click on the app it will restart the install/update....mine freeze all the time. All i have to do is click to refresh them and then they reinsatll perfectly. About the updating issue: Not only does my ipod want me to upgrade to upgrades i already have, it also wants me to downgrade sometimes. It is very annoying!
